Analysis of Literature Review Explained in the Research Article
After critically evaluating the article “Leadership coaching, leader role-efficacy, and trust
in subordinates: A mixed methods study assessing leadership coaching as a leadership
development tool” it has been gathered that critical analysis of literature review on leadership
coaching is made. The literature review conducted by Ladegard and Gjerde (2014) in the
selected article elaborated in details all the present theories on leadership coaching and also
focused on explaining the associated variables through carrying out focus group discussion. The
literature in the article focused on the fact that leadership coaching has explained in better
manner the practitioners’ perspective along with identified gaps that is present on evaluating
positive effects of leadership coaching (Ladegard and Gjerde 2014). The literature review
focused on elaborating the details of leadership coaching. It is also gathered that such technique
encompassing coaching managers, executives among with leaders of the organizations. The
literature addressed gap which was revealed in past studies by means of explaining fact that
leadership coaching is close relationship that encompass counselling concerning work-based
issues and has focus on improving effectiveness of leadership technique. The literature explained
in the article offered an elaborated impact on use of leadership coaching by means of elaborating
the executive coaching. This can support in dealing with numerous issues. The article explained
in details these concerns which encompassed mental health, resilience, workplace health, stress
along with depression.
Ferrin and Lyu (2018) explained that the literature review focused on leadership
coaching in the article also indicated in developing effective hypotheses which in turn supported
in attaining useful outcomes from the research. Evaluation of literature in article indicated that
