Introduction
Leadership and management have their origins in the act of directing members of an organisation
toward the achievement of a certain goal. The exercise of leadership includes the leader
controlling the operations of the firm and cultivating connections, cooperation, and other types of
employee motivation in addition to those responsibilities. As a leader in the organisation, their
primary responsibility is to make certain that the firm's goals are accomplished within the
allocated amount of time (Blissett, 2021).
In the framework of British Airways, the following study will examine the function of leadership
using theoretical frameworks. Located in London, England, it is the flag carrier of the United
Kingdom. The airline operates in approximately 183 different locations and has a total fleet size
of 254 aircraft. In addition to domestic flights, British Airways flies internationally and is the
country's second-largest airline. British Airways' organisational and racial diversity will be
examined in the study that follows. The expectation theory of Victor Vroom and the equity
theory of Adam will be evaluated. As a result, several styles of leadership and models will
emerge.

Inclusive Leadership styles and models
Organizations acquire varied styles of leadership and models to flourish. A leadership style that
is considered inclusive is one in which the person in lead is aware of the preferences of those
under their charge and actively engages in the process of making decisions. Their inclusive
judgments follow prejudices. They're people-oriented and motivate staff. There are numerous
inclusive styles of leadership and frameworks, and the DISC style is one. (Castillo and Hallinger,
2018).
DISC Model of Leadership
The DISC model is an acronym that stands for the four basic leadership styles defined by
leaders. These are the ones who are in charge, who inspire others, who provide assistance, and
who exercise caution.
Dominant: These attributes are emphasised in this type of leadership, where the leader is task-
oriented and ensuring the entire process displays them. As a leader, your primary goal is to
lessen the issue and produce successful outcomes
Inspiring: It's an outward process, too, but it's one that emphasises interactions with other people.
They are there to encourage others and create a pleasant atmosphere where everyone may easily
interact with one another.
Supportive: Leadership styles are designated for the leader who demonstrates the characteristics
of people orientedness. They want to foster a sense of unity in the workplace.
Cautious: They maintain a low profile but are very task-oriented in order to guarantee accuracy
and sincerity on the job (Hewitt, et al.,2019).
