MANAGEMENT PUTTING THEORIES INTO PRACTICES
INTRODUCTION
Management theories refers to that concept that helps in recommending the management strategies. It includes the guidelines and tools that enables the organization
to perform in more efficient manner.
LEADERSHIP THEORIES
Leadership theories are the complete description of the ways in terms of “how certain people become the leaders”.
Situational theories
This theory implies that the leader is choosing the
best options among the available situational
variables. The organization has merged with the
other organization and in such situation the
company is facing excessive problems of lack
resources.
Behavioural theories
This theory of leadership is based upon the
observations. People become the leader by
observing the different aspects of the organization
and observing the people working in the
organization. The firm is facing many issues.
Participative theories
This leadership theory believes in involving the
members of the organization in the decision-making
policy. This theory of leadership helps in creating a
secure environment in the organization and along with
this, it gives an assurance in terms of having less
number of disputes in the company.
Management theories
These theories help in determining the management strategies for the firm. Management plays a vital role in managing all the aspects of the firm whether it is
operational, financial, personal and related to the employees.
Scientific management theory
This management theory says that, the whole task of
the organization should be divided into the small part
and then it should be given to the employees for
performing. This helps in increasing the productivity
level of the employees.
Systems management theories
This theory says that, the business has multiple
aspects and all of these aspects plays an important role
in the success rate of the business. Adopting this
theory enables the organization in evaluating all the
aspects that are related to the business.
Contingency management theory
This management theory says that in an
organization there are many internal and
external factors that affects the operations and
environment of the organization.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURES
The organizational structure helps in directing the activities of the firm in order to achieve the goals of the firm. These structures help in deciding the ways under
which the work has to be performed. The organizational structure divides the whole organization in different parts and then task has been given to the employees
according to their knowledge and skills.
Functional organizational structure- The functional organizational structure refers to that structure under which different departments has been made and
according to the skill and creativity of the employees, they are shifted into those departments that is suitable for them. The firm is facing number of crisis after
merging. This structure will help them in identifying the skills and creativity of the employees and accordingly that, the firm can shift them into the suitable
department. This results in clearing the confusion in the mind of the employees.
Hierarchical organizational structure- This organizational structure follows the concept of flowing the information from top to bottom. Under this, each
subordinates have their superior. The flow of information goes from top to bottom. This is the most suitable structure or new organization as the firm got updated
after merging with another firm. This structure will help in knowing the responsibilities and accountabilities of each employee. It enables in knowing about the
reporting scenario of the firm. The decisions that are made by the top authorities has been discussed with their middle level managers, and then the middle level
managers further discuss it with the lower level manger. And afterwards, the lower level supervisors make aware to the employees about that decision. The clear
flow of communication has been adopted under this. The employees will not feel more complex in terms of going to their supervisors regarding any doubt.
CONCLUSION
, leadership and management theories plays a vital role in the growth and success of the organization. These theories enable the good environment in the firm. And
along with this, it helps in establishing the good level of understanding between the members of the organization

SPECIAL NOTES:
This report will illustrate the leadership and management theories that helps in managing the
activities of the organization. Apart from this, this report will also describe the type of
organizational structure that is suitable for the company after merging with another firm.
Leadership theories The leaders focus on the effective traits and behaviour in order to adopt
them and for becoming an effective leader. (Cote, 2017). Here are the three leadership theories
that can be used by the client organization in order to solve their leadership issues:
Situational theories-. In such situation, this theory of leadership will be beneficial for the firm.
Under this, the leader is skilled and more creative than the authoritarian style of leadership can
be followed in which all the decision taken by the leader. And, in case the employees are creative
then, the participative form of leadership can be adopted. In this, all the decisions are taken after
discussing with the team members.
Behavioural theories- Therefore, it is important to observe each and every aspect of the firm in
order to understand the complete situation and their solutions. (Shafique and Beh, 2017). This
form of leadership theory has to be adopted by the firm in order to solve the conflict between the
members of the organization. Behavioural theory helps in understanding the different mentality
of people and enables the leader to implement an effective communication chain in the company.
Participative theories-. It works as a booster for the employees working in the organization. The
employees feel satisfy when they are involved in the decision-making process. This enables the
sense of motivation in them, and they contribute more in the productivity of the organization.
This theory of leadership is suitable for the firm as it helps in developing the sense of motivation
in the employees.
Management theories-. Here are the three management theories that can help the firm in
managing their management issues:
Scientific management theory- Instead of performing the whole task, the task has to be
performed in different-different parts. So, collectively the complete task can be done with more
efficiency. (Hussain HAQUE and Baloch, 2019). This theory also suggests the concept of fair
wages. It says that employees work for the money therefore, fair salaries and wages should be
given to them as a result the faith of the workers will increase in the favour of the organization.
Systems management theories- Along with this, it helps in selecting the best approach for
establishing the operational activities of the businesses. Under this, the managers have to analyse

the different patterns and events under the company. (Tabatadze, 2019). And on the basis of that,
the resources have to be allocated. It also involves management of all the departments of the
business in such manner so, collectively all these departments can contribute towards the success
of the business.
Contingency management theory- Approaching only one way to perform various activities I
the organization will result in low productivity. This theory insists that, an organization must
focus on different variables in order to have better results. For example: good and efficient
technology has to be used by the company in order to perform their operational activities. A
good leadership formation is needed in order to maintain the team work in the company.
(Nestorenko, 2021). This management theory helps in approaching different alternatives and
maintaining unity in the firm.
The firm must adopt these three leadership and management theory.
These theories will insist good team spirit in the organization and along with this, it helps in
knowing the various alternatives for performing the organization's operation. As the firm is
facing the crisis between the employees, less of motivation, less resources and large number of
disputes. These theories enable the firm to form a good leadership in the organization that looks
upon the need and wants of all the employees. (Curum and Khedo, 2021). An efficient
understanding between the members of the organization makes them more productive. And
motivates them to perform more in the favour of the firm. The management theories help in
finding out the different alternatives for starting the operational activities. This results in
knowing the resources required by the firm. A clearance in the mind related to the requirement of
resources helps in allocating the useful resources for the production process.
Organizational structure-These activities include the role and responsibilities of each employee
and employer. (Dedahanov Rhee and Yoon, 2017). This also helps in establishing the flow of
communication in the organization. “who will report to whom” has been decided under this.
Both of these organizational structures are suitable for the firm in order to solve the crisis
between the employees and along with this, it helps in the supervision of the employees in
efficient manner.
From the above report it has been concluded that, leadership and management theories plays a
