INTRODUCTION
 Motivation for an organization is very important
incitement or inducement for fulfilling an action.
 This is helpful for driving the employee of an
organization to meet their individual goals as well
as the company's overall goals.
 For this presentation the selected organization is
ASDA which is a British Supermarket Chain that
is headquartered in Leeds, England.
 In this project a motivational strategy will be
developed for optimization of organizational
performance.

CONTENT THEORY
The content theory of motivation are the ones which focuses on the importance
of the human needs. Maslow's Hierarchy of needs can be applied in the
organization motivating their employees.
 Physiological needs explaining the biological requirement of human survival.
 Safety needs satisfies the employees through providing them security and
safety.
 Love and belongingness needs for being safety that is helpful for developing
the human needs for involving feelings of belongingness.
 Esteem needs is in which accomplishment of respect and self-esteem is
helpful for influencing the employees.
 Self actualization needs is helpful for referring to realization of person's
potential for fulfilling personal growth.

PROCESS THEORY
 This theory is the theory of ideas that explain
how entity changes and develops on the basis
of one or more variables.
 Expectancy theory of motivation to an
individual helps in identifying the behavior of
the individual which is affected due to the
specific behavior over the others due to what
they expect with the result.
 For example Employee must believe the task is
achievable in order to be able to put the efforts
that are needed for achieving success. ASDA
can implement this by establishment of
realistic goals.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
 Motivation is the key to the success of performance
in an organization.
 Hence, the importance of employee performance
management system is very effective for a detailed
critical study of treatment of its terminology for the
process of encapsulation of the different theorists.
 The functional management of resources is the
major concern of every organization that is the staff
of their own treasured resources.
 Paying considerable attention is helpful for
supervision and being more effective in the
performance.

CONTINOUS IMPROVEMENT
 For an organization being able to continuous
improvement can be the best way of achieving
greater results.
 Following are the ways in which a business is
going to be able to achieve the results that are able
to make the employees more motivated.
 Encouraging security through open and informal
communication can help the business feel and
express the concerns of discussing the hurdles
which they face.
 Celebrating learning can help the business in
mastery of motivation that helps in the desire of
learning and growing.

Keeping employees engaged
 Keeping the employees engaged with the help of yearly appraisal system helps in
achieving the goals that would be given at the beginning of the year.
 Example, Screw-fix a UK based company keeps their employees motivated through
levelling up by keeping an open, honest company culture.

 This is helpful for incentivize of both the

 The leadership practices which are considered to be
the most effective for the management of the
advantages to this theory is helpful for the business in
the engagement of the motivation that is helpful for
directly involving into decisions and outcomes.
POWER THEORY :
 This theory of leadership is considered to be power of
influence to get for things accomplished commonly
known power theory of leadership.
 It doesn't reach the end of goal for inspiring
encouraging employees.

 This is the theory which is able to
develop mentors for employees for
scheduling time to talk to them and
work to meet their needs.
 These kinds of leaders are focused
on making work enjoyable for as
many people as possible.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
 For the development of continuous improvement and performance following
recommendations can be made to the business.
 The business should be focusing on gradual small changes instead of major shifts that
can help the business for growing.
 Prioritizing ideas that are inexpensive can influence the growth in the organization and
can be considered to be the factor that influences the ideas of employees to improve the
growth.
 Supporting the employees for the growth can help them improve the business.
 Measuring the performance of the employees can help the business in developing the
organization and its performance for the growth of business.

CONCLUSION
 From this project it can be concluded that leadership and the management of the
workplace has been considered that has allowed the organization in the growth of
organizational opportunities.
