INTRODUCTION Leadership can be defined as an ability of individual which is related to leading the different employees within the organisation in order to achieve the organisations objective by combining the effect of different individual in a single form(Allen, 2018). In context of the current report there is discussion about leadership based on case study of Tesco. Tesco is a global performing organisation which is performing its function in an appropriate way in order to meet the requirements as well as provide customer goods and services. In context of the present report, it consists discussion about different aspects which include theories and modelsofleadership.Alongwiththis,thereisalsoadiscussionaboutleadership organisational culture and Diversity management. Main BODY Identification of different leadership styles in model Leadership act as a great opportunity on the shoulders of an individual within the organisation which is related to leading different individual in the direction of goals and objectives of the organisation(Anthony and Antony, 2017). This is directly related to meeting the needs and requirements so that organisation can easily improve its function and achieve better results. There are different kind of leadership styles and models which can adopted by Organisation in order to meet the requirements. In context of Tesco, some of these models and theories are discussed below: Models of leadership There are number of leadership models which can be used by the organisation in order to meet the requirements as well as perform the function according to the current situation of organisation. It is identified that all these functions are essential for the form in order to meet the requirements some of these models are discussed below: Team oriented leadership: team oriented leadership can be defined as a part of leadership which help the organisation creating and collaborating the team effort according to the requirement of organisation. Under this,leader has to perform different functions which are helpful to the organisation in order to meet the requirements and performing the functions according to the requirement of team to achieve better results(Esty and Bell, 2018). Country club leadership model: it is that kind of leadership style a model which can be used by the organisation in order to meet the requirements of employees and satisfying them on their job. Under this the worker will work naturally and be better at their job by performingthefunctionaccordingly.Theseleadersprominentlyusethepositive reinforcement to increase their teams and achieve the goals in an effective way. Bureaucratic leadership: this is an appropriate leading style which can be followed by the leader in order to meet the requirement where the leader has to involve different types of individual which can work in an appropriate manner according to the sharp and focus on
the performance by achieving the desired results by the performance. It includes a chain of command and answering the board of director in appropriate way to improve the interest of stakeholders(Fischer, 2016). Styles of leadership: There are number of leadership styles which can be followed by Tesco and its working. Leadership styles are helpful to the organisation in matching the performance as well as improving its function in an appropriate way. Some of these leadership styles which can be followed by the manager of Tesco are discussed below: Autocratic style:autocratic leadership style can be defined as a part of leadership system which believes that different individual within the organisation should lie under single command of manager(Harris and Jones, 2019). This kind of leadership style the leader is the person who guides the individuals and don’t take the suggestion in the working of team. This kind of leadership can be followed within business for in order to maintain the discipline. Democratic leadership style: democratic leadership style is that kind of leadership which can be used by the manager in order to lead the individual with the coordinator and supportive environment. Under democratic leadership style a leader will lead the individuals within the organisation by taking their suggestions and increasing their engagement within the organisation so that they can perform the function in an appropriate manner by identifying different factors and helping in the process of decision making. This act as an effective process in order to meet the requirement of organisation and fulfilling its basic needs for or maintaining motivation with employees. Coaching style:coaching style leadership is that kind of leadership which is related to leading the individual by guiding them how to perform their functions as well as analysing the potential of different individual at the time of working. It is analysed that organisation is using its function in an appropriate way so that it can achieve better results and perform according to the needs and requirements(Holtz and Hu, 2017). Affiliate style:it can be defined as that kind of leadership style which is related to guiding the individual within the organisation after their involvement in communication. Under this leadership style the manager within the organisation used to guide the individuals in a freestyle system where manage the function in an appropriate way. This help in increasing the functions as well as becoming a better productive organisation by using a concept of emotional needs of team member and performing all the function according to the requirements so that business objectives can be achieved. Authoritative leadership styles: authoritative leadership style can be defined as a style which is adopted by the leader within the organisation in accordance with their authority within the firm as well as functions they performed full stop there are a number of system which are involved under this function where the climate of uncertainty is the leader lift the fogwithinthepeopleandhelptheminimprovingtheirfunctionsaccordingtothe requirements(Johnson, 2017). It is identified that there are various impacts of organisational leadership on organisational culture and Diversity management some of these are discussed below: Help in managing diversity at workforce: using effective leadership is helpful to the organisation in managing its current workforce as well as using appropriate system to strengthen their functions. It is also identified that there are various functions which are performed by the leader within the organisation the following appropriate style of leadership with support diversify management as well as help in managing the diversity and analysing the behaviour of different individual according to their culture. Manager with the Tesco use them to work the appropriate culture. Provide direction: leadership is essential element within task as leaders within the organisation always used to provide the direction to different staff in order to meet the requirements and reduce conflict between diversify at work force. This is helpful within Organisation in managing different individuals as a performing their function according to the needs and requirements of organisation. There are different individuals which are
performing theirjobs and belongsto variousculturalbackground where they require appropriate guidance in accordance with the goals and objectives of the organisation so that organisation can simplify its process and achieve the results in an appropriate manner. Providetraininganddevelopment:leadershipisimportantfactorwithinthe organisation as it help in providing training and development to the different individuals so that they can work in a combined manner by managing the practices as well as perform the function in an appropriate manner. It is identified that later use various kind of practices which helped them in achieving the better results and performing the function in an appropriate manner. There are various functions which has to be performed by the later and the system which also include leadership and training and development. This is also realise that there are various factors which cover the organisational performance and help in achieving the business objectives where leader used to provide guidance to improve the skills and abilities so that the individuals can perform appropriately by managing the function (Storberg-Walker and Madsen, 2017). Guidance about the current environment: Leadership also help in managing the culture in the individual about the current business environment in which organisation is trading. leader always analyse the business environment in an appropriate way so that it can help the decision making. Leader in organisation helps in managing the function and performing them in an appropriate way under this organisation in an appropriate analysing the current situation in the managing the situations according to the needs and requirements. It can be evaluated from the aforementioned information that leadership is an important in the organisation which helps in managing the culture as well as diversity within the workforce of the organisation so that form can easily achieve its objective and perform the functions in an appropriate way. This is also analysed that by using appropriate function a leader can lead the organisation to achieve goals and objectives as well as help the form in achieving its objective in an appropriate manner. CONCLUSION It can be concluded from the above mentioned information that there are various factors for the leadership which can be used by individual in order to lead the different individuals and achieve their personal objectives it is identified that leading is an essential function for individual where there are a number of leadership styles and models which can be followed in order to achieve these objectives and perform the function in an appropriate manner. It is also identified that leadership has a great role in diversity and culture management within the organisation where leader has to manage each and every function in accordance with the requirements of the current environment and perform the function accordingly.
