Introduction
Leadership can be defined as the process with the help of which an individual
influences the minds of other people in the way which the leader wants from them to do
(leadership, 2019). The assignment will put its focus on the internal and external factors that
impacts upon the Management Style and Structure of the organisation.
MAIN BODY
P4) Internal and External Factors Impacting upon the Management Styles and
Structures of Wa-Pila Hotel
Internal Factors Impacting upon the Management Styles:
Owners are the person who had invested their money in an organisation in order to
serve the society as well as with the motive of earning profit. So they have the right to make
changes in the policies and procedures and rules and regulations of an organisation. The
following change will also impact upon the working and management style of Wa-Pila Hotel
as the new working in the organisation has been implemented. Also, the complex business
demands of the market also make it complex for the employees to adopt themselves with the

changing environment of the market (Kanji, 2012).
.
In addition to this, employees are the most important asset for an organisation. So the
change in the management style of Wa-Pila Hotel is also impacted by their behaviour as the
change in their behaviour and attitude will make their nature to be complex or flexible. So in
accordance with their nature, it is important for an organisation to make changes in their
management style so that the best possible productivity could be acquired from the work of
employees. Low employee engagement also impacts upon the management styles as for this
the company needs to make changes in its current management style.
External Factors Impacting upon Management Styles:
Globalisation also impacts upon the management style of an organisation such as Wa-
Pila Hotels. It is because with this process companies come across new culture and
environment. So this process makes the company to make changes in their working styles and
also in the management styles in accordance with the existing environment to avail the best
positive impact.
Additionally, the management style of Wa-Pila Hotels is also impacted by the
technology as during the process of globalisation, technology also plays an important role in
impacting upon the management style of an organisation. It is so because the technical

requirements in operations are different in different countries so this makes the employees to
learn the new ways of working as early as possible. So this will result in change in the
management style of Wa-Pila Hotels.
Internal Factors Affecting Structure of Wa-Pila Hotels:
Organisational Structure is directly related to the size of an organisation. Talking in
terms of growth and expansion of business, it leads to growth and development of the
business which requires standardization, formalisation and specialisation of labours in
their work and processes so this will also impact upon the structure of the organisation
to hierarchical structure.
Further, the impact on the organisational structure of an organisation is also created
by the objectives and strategies as the change in them will also lead to change in the
structure of Wa-Pila Hotels.
External Factors Impacting the Structure of Wa-Pila Hotels:
Technology impacts upon the structure of an organisation as with the increased use of
technology, it has reduced the workforce requirement in the companies as most of the
work is done with the help of machines (Pereira-Moliner and et. al., 2012).
It also depends upon the size of the organisation and on the very basis, the impact is
drawn on the structure. As such in case of small organisations, power is centralised
and in case of large organisations the power is decentralised.
Past Leadership: In the earlier times, the employees working in an organisation were not
much educated and education also do not matter much. The more was manual work not
mental work. Also the organisational size was also small. So in the past, autocratic leadership
style was used taking the power to take decision in one hand.
