INTRODUCTION
Leadership is defined as the ability of an individual to influence or guide members of an
organization for achieving a goal. A leader knows how to motivate the employees by giving
them innovative ideas and also helps them in understanding the system.
The report will include the characteristics for both autocratic and democratic leadership styles
and how these leadership styles are beneficial for any organization and that will be explained by
the help of an academic leadership model. The report will also elaborate the self-appraisal by
using these leadership styles

Effective leadership also have a great impact on the performance, employee
retention and morale. A great leader is the one who have empathy towards the other
individual, one should know to connect in a way lets that person know you
understand what it means to be in their situation. Having a good leader in an
organization leads to the overall productivity and performance, customer
satisfaction and large investments. Therefore it is good to have a higher authority
to report to.
Autocratic leadership styles-In this type of leadership style an individual is
having control over all the decisions and have little input from group members.
Autocratic leaders makes choices which is based on their ideas and judgments
and rarely accept the advice from other people.
