INTRODUCTION
Business basically refers to an organisation or enterprising entity which is engaged in
industrial, commercial and professional activities as well. Business is basically for profit entities
and non-profit organisations. In this competitive environment, businesses are important because
it is essential for economic growth of a country which basically improves the standard of living
into positive manner. In the present report, Leadership in the workplace is taken into
consideration. The purpose of choosing this topic is that the organisation is based on work of a
leader's approach towards the vision, mission and goals as well(Donate and de Pablo., 2015).
This topic has been chosen due to this reason that a good leadership direct the organisation into
appropriate manner and also gives importance to the people so that they can work into
collaborative manner. Within the work place, leadership is important because it help in terms of
directing an organisation's resources in order to improve the efficiency and also for the
achievement of goals as well. Effective leadership at the organisational level basically provides
clarity of purpose, motivate and also guides the organisation in order to realise its mission. The
main objectives are what is leadership, its importance and its relevance at the organisational
level. The present report will cover discussion about the chosen topic and also about learning in
the form of as a result. In addition to this, the report will cover analysis about the gaps in terms
of understanding.

According to Darius Drevinskas, (2022) an effective leadership basically refers to getting
best out of the people around the workplace and also brings diverse skills and personalities in the
form of together with pursuit of a common goal. It basically requires to positively influence
different members of a team by different qualities such as charisma, vision, confidence and also
shows that in which manner things need to be done into positive manner(DOROSHENKO and
et.al., 2018). A leader is someone who never afraid to take initiative and also demonstrate the
kind of commitment and behaviour which they expect of their team. Leadership and
management are almost similar things but they are distinctive in terms of nature.

Managers are those who keep things together, motivate and supervise in order to ensure
about the effective performance and leaders are those who show the way forward and also sets a
good example by unifying the efforts towards success. Within the workplace, leadership plays a
very significant role and also have effective and visionary leaders which can benefit the company
into multiple ways. An effective leadership contribute towards maintaining the company morale
level into positive manner(Planing., 2015). Leaders are those who can effectively build trust and
keeps the staff informed and also communicate a vision for the future in order to create a positive
environment. Leadership is also important within the work place because it contribute in terms of
employees engagement. For employee engagement, trust in leadership and strong relationships
plays a very significant role in it. At the organisational level, employees are looking for proper
purpose and meaning from their work and they see their leader as the person who can provide
them. At the organisational level, leadership is very significant which contribute towards the
adaptability parameter. Good leaders are those who are able to bring every one together to work
towards the common goal. It is specifically beneficial in times of change where team work
basically based on mutual respect and clear purpose is very significant in terms of overcoming
new challenges.
For an effective work place leadership, there are certain qualities which needs to be
considered into positive manner. These qualitative parameters basically include confidence,
empathy, vision, decisiveness and honesty as well. There are certain people who choose to
follow the example of someone who does not believe in themselves (Premand and et.al., 2016).
When leader is not confident then they are unsure about what they are doing and this kind of
uncertainty quickly spread out at the organisational level and also have demoralising effect
which is very difficult to turn around. There are some people who are naturally more confident
than other people and this parameter can be nurtured in a positive and supportive environment.
At the organisational level, empathy which is very important in terms of leadership which
is basically about understanding the situation of people who are around the leader. It is very
important for leadership because it facilitates the effective communication and also build trust
with team members. Its not easy to build meaningful relationship with people who lack the
empathy and an understanding of how their behaviour affect others.

At the organisational level, empathetic leaders are those who know how to approach
people in terms of challenging situations and also adjust the approach which depends on each
individual particular needs and personality. Within the work place, for an effective leadership,
vision is important because a clear vision of the path towards future goals is what sets workplace
leaders apart from managers(Samuel and et.al., 2015). At the organisational level, for an
effective leadership honesty is very important which means that staying true to certain principles
no matter what challenges have been arised. It is very important for a leader to be honest because
people see their leaders in form of moral compass and a person who guides them in the time
period of uncertain times. It basically means that having the humility to their own mistakes when
they occur while making a point to learn from them. It also means that being open to their
opinions and ideas of their people especially those who are more qualified in their area. The
success of effective leadership also depend on this factor that the decisions taken by the leaders.
They need to have faith in their abilities in order to make firm assertive decisions and also stick
by them(Tips to become a leader in your workplace,2022). A good leadership is possible within
the workplace through quick and decisive thinking which backed by thorough knowledge of the
situation and the openness to accept advice from others. For an effective leadership, it is very
important that a leader has to be decisive in terms of nature so that they can be accountable for
their good and bad decisions (Waddell., 2017). It basically means that accepting the burden when
things went wrong and share success with the whole team when they go well. In this manner, an
effective leadership can be maintained within the workplace.
From the point of view of Mckenna Themm, (2021) it has been observed that leadership
styles in organisation have a direct impact on the retention of employees and there are different
kinds of leadership styles which contribute in terms of encouraging intellectual stimulation and
individualisation as well. Within the work place, leadership is very important because it
contribute in terms of increasing the productivity level. At the organisational level, effective
leadership is possible when respect has been earned into positive manner and co-workers sees the
leader as a great example who have the potential to perform into out of box manner(Leadership
in the work place: How to become a better leader ,2022). An effective leadership is through
standing up for their team members into positive manner. A healthy environment does not allow

for in appropriate behaviour and misconduct as well. There are also another ways through which
effective leadership is possible.
An effective leader can create strong bond with their co-workers into positive manner. In
this manner, a leader can gain trust and transparency of their co-workers into result oriented
manner. Within the work place, it is very important to cultivate such an environment where co-
workers and employees feel comfortable in terms of creating connections and build relationship
with another is essential. An effective leadership is only possible within the work place through
having a positive and engaging attitude and bring hones as well. It is important to encourage for
open communication and also need to be trustworthy and also reward the creativity as
well(Ward., 2016). An effective leadership within the work place is possible through setting an
example on the daily basis. An example can be set through following the company policies while
making decisions and addresses the issues according to the standards of company and according
to the guidelines as well.
Within the work place, leadership is very important and it is also maintained through the
different kinds of skills of leader which will set up an individual for promotion purpose. For an
effective leadership it is very important to mentor new employees who are unfamiliar with the
company. There are certain benefits of acting as mentor as they can learn new skills and
understand the job responsibilities into better manner. It also benefit the individual into such a
manner that it gives an individual the hands-on-experience in the form of leader and also
demonstrate to the manager which an individual cares about the company.
