Trait theory of leadership
 Trait theory characteristics of effective leaders who
trait to the employees for improving their performance.
 Trait theory shows significant positive relationship
between leadership and management.
 Personality traits include intelligence, extroversion,
self-efficiency etc.
 This theory also identifies the link of individual
between different situation and task.

Behavioural theory of leadership
 Behavioural theory consist of skills and styles which are
differ from trait.
 In this type of leadership, it evaluates what successful leaders
did and identifies the pattern that indicates different
leadership styles.
 Behavioural theory incorporates perception, which takes
effect of reward and punishment on changing behaviour
 However, it can be critically evaluated that people learn the
practices and behaviours does not mean they will able to
enact the theory properly.

CONTEXT
Trait theory
 Trait theory helps me for supporting ability to mobilize it
towards the vision of the organization.
 This approach helps me to differentiate leaders from non-leaders.
 Trait theory focuses on personality, demographic characteristics,
task competence and interpersonal attributes.
 This theory gives constructive information about leadership to
me.
 I also evaluate the information by using this theory.
 It helps to me for enhancing the performance of the organization.

Behavioural theory
 Behavioural theory help to me for focusing on behavior of leaders.
 This theory is easy to put into practices so that it is easily understand by
me, so that I get result quickly.
 This theory show the leaders behave to their performance.
 I have choose this leadership style for right thing applying in each
situation.
 It emphasize to me for determining short-term goals, Standards rules and
procedures.
 This is helps to me in my organization because there problems are simple
and clearly defined.

BENEFITS OF TRAIT THEORY TO SELF
 Trait theory lie in manager ability to
observable behaviours and their objective
criteria.
 This theory builds premises to the leaders.
 Trait theory provides benchmark for
identifying leaders.

BENEFITS OF BEHAVIOURAL THEORY TO
SELF
 Behavioural theory support the idea that
leadership can be learned through
development and experience.
 It helps to identify the behaviour of the
managers towards the performance of
employees.
