Trait theory of leadership
 Trait theory characteristics of effective leaders who
trait to the employees for improving their
performance.
 Trait theory shows significant positive relationship
between leadership and management.
 Personality traits include intelligence, extroversion,
self-efficiency etc.
 This theory also identifies the link of individual
between different situation and task.

Behavioural theory of leadership
 Behavioural theory consist of skills and styles which are
differ from trait.
 In this type of leadership, it evaluates what successful leaders
did and identifies the pattern that indicates different
leadership styles.
 Behavioural theory incorporates perception, which takes
effect of reward and punishment on changing behaviour
 However, it can be critically evaluated that people learn the
practices and behaviours does not mean they will able to
enact the theory properly.
