1.Introduction
In the upcoming year that is 2022, Qatar will host the FIFA World Cup. This will
ultimately focus on large number of preparation for this upcoming event (Al-Emadi et al., 2017).
Qatar is a huge country which comes up with comprehensive process needed for delivering a
better tournament atmosphere. There are multibillions and transport based projects has been
undertaken in Qatar. World Cup stadium is at different stages of construction, and these projects
are designed in such a way that it can provide sustainable and environment-friendly facilities.
Qatar is all about hosting FIFA 2022 World Cup for its sustainable approach (Hegade, Rajkumar
& Murthy, 2017). It can be easily expected that Qatar is interested in achieving the notion in the
given time along with high level of sustainability. Qatar is very interested in getting positive and
international standing which is an important factor.
The coming pages of this report mainly deal with Prince2 which is required for
stakeholder management of this event. After that, some of the vital stakeholders of the event has
been discussed in details. An analysis can be done concerning identification and elaboration of
opportunities for eliminating waste in World Cup 2022. The report ends with list of processes for
different methodologies like OPM, Prince2, lean six sigma and PMBOK.
2.Discussion
2.1. Prince2 for Stakeholder Management
Qatar is considered to be first Arab nation which will host FIFA World Cup in the year
2022. The win is mainly due to the result of great efforts given by Qatar (Bodily, Nyland &
Wiley, 2017). It is mainly done so that they can fulfil the requirements which are considered to
be eligible for understanding the eligibility. These efforts are given various sectors kind social,
economic, environment and infrastructure. Qatar is very much interested in understanding the
huge method of transformation for setting up a comprehensive model of development in Middle
East (Goetsch & Davis, 2014). It is mainly backed by five major elements like Political will
develop vision, Good governance and proper management of natural resources, public
awareness, financial wealth and lastly political stability.

Prince2 methodology mainly comes up three kind of notion that is business assurance,
users and lastly specialist. Prince2 methodology is very much helpful in understanding the World
Cup Event which is all about understanding the overall cost and benefits.

Prince2 methodology mainly comes up with seven principles which are required for
tackling this tournament event of 2022 (Goldratt & Cox, 2016). The seven principles of Prince2
methodology are
 The World Cup Event needs to come up with business justification.
 Understanding the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders of this tournament
 Team members of this World Cup event need to gather from experiences.
 Working for plan and focusing certain number of stages.
 I am addressing a large number of involved products.
 I am understanding the need of meeting for this particular event.
Prince2 methodology mainly comes up with seven steps like
 Beginning stage of this World Cup Event 2022.

3.Methods of implementing lean Project Management
All the encountered issues in this event can be easily tackled by the help of lean project
management methodology. It is generally required by lean project management principle which
is needed by the project management of tournament event (Singh & Singh, 2015). It is all about

having an understanding concerning the needs of the project. Lean project management is mainly
required for having an understanding concerning overall success of this tournament event.
 Understanding the viewing nature of the viewers
 Reducing the total number of generated waste.
Lean project management can be easily implemented in this World Cup 2022 which is
reducing the minimum value. The current climate of Qatar is not suitable for this FIFA
tournament. As a result, there is a need for improvement in the climatic condition of Qatar
(Sofotasiou, Hughes & Calautit, 2015). There is large number of problems understand for
tackling the overall budget. It is required for understanding cost and conflict in the committee
which is needed for overall improvement in this World Cup tournament. There is some kind of
problem which is needed to overcome in understanding the budget. It is mainly required for
removing large number of problems which can be eliminated. It mainly comes up with certain
steps.
4.Identifying Processes
In this FIFA World Cup 2022, there is large number of issues which needs to be taken
into account like:
 Transporting the waste which is generated.
 Proper management of inventory for managing of the waste generated in World
Cup.
 Over-processing of the generated waste
 Any kind of defect which is there seen in the generated waste.
 Overproduction of waste can affect the crowd at the Stadium of this tournament.
In this FIFA tournament of 2022, enormous kind of waste can be generated as a result of
over processing. It can affect certain number of things like scope, approval and resource
overloading and lastly verification. Waste can be easily identified which is needed for analyzing
and managing the present event that is tournament.
4.1. PMBOK

created by Project management institute (Millward, 2017). It tends to work like a guide which is
required for brining all the required knowledge related project management. PMBOK
methodology can be easily applied by the project manager of this World Cup Event 2022.
PMBOK mainly comes up with five stages like start, plan, execution, control and fence.
Start: In this step, all the processes can easily add up which comprises of activities, skills
which are needed by project manager (Brannagan & Giulianotti,2015). It ultimately helps in
defining the final notion this World Cup Event. It aims in defining certain number of phases for
this Event.
Planning: This particular method aims in defining certain phases of the project along
with strategy which needs to be followed by project manager of this event. It aims in

4.4. Agile Practices
Agile methodology emphasizes the fact that this World Cup can be easily handled in

smaller segments so that each team can easily handle the segmented part more precisely. Agile is

4.5. Lean Six Sigma

is a well-known goal which is required for improving the quality and measurement of the system.
The Motorola system encounters certain error rates of scrap and reworks which can result in
customer dissatisfaction (Kaplanidou et al., 2016). In this scenario, the governing body of FIFA
World Cup 2022 can easily opt for six sigma approach which emphasizes on identification and
elimination of issues which are encountered. Various kind of errors can be easily eliminated so
that there is no kind of errors in it. DMAIC mainly comes up five steps like
Define: In this stage, all the boundaries of the process are identified so that it can easily

The methodology of six sigma tends to work with large number of process, services and
product which has defined performance goals (Heinemann et al., 2017). It comes up with certain
number of measurable characteristics as the methodology tends to heavily rely on the given data.
5.Conclusion
The report helps us in analyzing the fact that this report is all about Prince2 is useful in
stakeholder management. All the critical stakeholders of this event have been checked and
analyzed. Various methods have been discussed which can be used for lean management for
World Cup 2022. The report mainly deals with various kind of process like PMBOK, Prince2,
OPM, Agile practices and lean six sigma. Stakeholder management is mainly required for
reducing overall capital investment in this event. This is the first time in history when the Middle
East country will host for the first time. This particular country will host the FIFA World Cup
2022 after the wining in the year in 2010. It is expected that FIFA tournament will be held in

May or July. The FIFA committee will start the match at 21, Nov. The average temperature in
Qatar is around 24 degrees.
