INTRODUCTION
As the days are passing, the world of business is changing at a rapid pace. The introduction of
modern science and technology and a number of new policies and regulations are two of the
major reasons behind this continuous change in the business sector. The business
environment is a much important aspects to be analyzed and discussed for the business
organizations as it can directly impact and influence their course of doing business. This
assignment will comprise of two segments. The first segment will consist of a detailed
discussion on different kinds of business organizations which are seen to persist in the
business world of the United Kingdom. The analysis will be done based upon the mission,
vision, objectives of those organizations along with the nature of activities they perform as well
as their stakeholders. The second part of the assignment will focus on the external and internal
business environment and the impact of the factors of the business atmosphere on the
activities and regulations of the business industries. The interrelation among the factors will
also be a part of discussion for this report. The organization which has been chosen as the
context for discussion for this assignment is Aldi, which is a well-known retailer based in the
United Kingdom.

PART 1
ORGANIZATIONAL TYPES, FUNCTIONS AND STRUCTURES
This portion of the report has been prepared with a view to discussing about different types,
functions and structures of the business organization which are seen to sustain in the
contemporary business world of the United Kingdom. There are generally three major types of
business companies which are commonly seen- public, private and voluntary organizations
(Worthington, et al 2018). All these types will be discussed in this report in a detailed manner.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE SELECTED ORGANIZATION 1
The first organization which will be discussed is a public sector business organization. These
organizations in the public sector are generally owned by the government of the United
Kingdom and the major reason behind establishing these organizations are the welfare of the
people within the country and to serve in the most useful way possible. NHS is one such public
limited company based in the United Kingdom (Needle, et al 2009).

of their superiors. Because it is such a large company, NHS must maintain a number of legal
structures that are appropriate for a different department of the organization. One such legal
structure is corporate governance, which discusses and upholds all the rights of the company's
stakeholders and ensures that all their interests are met.

private organization. A private organization is basically that kind of organization which is
owned by one or more private individuals for the sake of their own company growth and
personal benefits. The very famous British supermarket chain Aldi can be a great example of
a privately owned business organization within the United Kingdom (Fernando, 2011).

established for the sake of earning money or profit. Rather, these organizations are
established for the sake of the welfare of the people living within the society or the country. A
great example of such an organization is the Cancer Research UK (Mercer, 2019).
THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
As this is not technically a business organization, the Cancer Research UK does not provide
the people with any kind of productsrather they provide a service. This organization as mainly
been established with a view to helping the people within the United Kingdom who are being

The mission of the Cancer Research UK is to find out the possible cures for the dangerous

have any particular individual to invest in it as well. The necessary monetary and other kind of
help for this organization usually comes from donations from people or other business
organizations. The Cancer Research UK is basically a trust which runs for a single cause
relevant to the welfare of the people.

The different kinds of stakeholders which are involved in the operations of the Cancer
