LEARNING ASSIGNMENT1. Major take away from the following article.
Answer 1: Major takeaways from the following article mainly include the fact that
two assessment procedure to determine how much of the lesson has the student
understood. Two assignment procedure are known as the Formative process and the other
one is known as the Summative process. The Formative process is the assessment
process, which is done before and during process of the learning. The Summative process
is the process that determines the assessment process at the end of the key segments in a
learning cycle or ay the end of the whole learning process.
The Formative assessment can be of two types, the Pre assessment type and the on
going assessment type. The Pre assessment is done before the beginning of a study lesson
and it helps the teacher in determining or understanding what the students already
known’s related to that subject and to see if any pre requisite learning is missing or is
miss understood. The teacher does this assessment in order to determine the various
teaching activities that would help in motivating the students and match their learning
process as much as possible. Various assessment procedures may include Homework,
quizzes, and exits cards.
The Summative assessment process at the end of the learning cycle helps in
evaluating the students at to understand as to how much have they understood the course
material. The various methods may include tests, projects, and presentations.
