1. Quality area 1: Educational program and practice. Element 1.1.1 is approved learning framework and 1.1.2 is
child centered. The main aim of 1.1.1 element is to get detailed information of children like their identity and
connection with wellbeing and community in order to improve them.
Quality area 2- Children health and safety. Element number 2.1.1 is children's well-being and comfort, 2.1.2 is related to health and practices and
2.1.3 is related to improving healthy lifestyle.
Quality area 3- Physical environment. Element of 3.1.1 is related to fit for purpose and 3.1.2 is for up keeping.
Quality area 4- Staffing arrangements. Element 4.1.1 refers is organization of educators and 4.1.2 is continuity of staff.
2. Health and safety of children is related to early years learning framework outcome 3.2. As per the outcome 3.2. Children become able to take
their own responsibility for improving health and physical well-being. It can be measured by observing children if they are happy, safe and healthy.
3.1 outcome is: children feel secure, safe and supported. It can be measured when children make as well as follows effective routine to help making
predicted transition smoothly. They start communicating about their needs for assistance and comfort.
3.1.2 outcome is: children develop their inter-dependence, emergency autonomy and sense of agency. It can be measured when children become
open to adapt new challenges.
3. Give five (5) examples of how an educator can promote learning health and safety to children.
Educators can promote learning health and safety outcome 1.1 Educators can make children feel safe and secure by being available for children in
order to help them out emotionally and supporting them in expressing their feelings and thoughts.
1.2 outcome of developing children’s inter-dependence and resilience, educators provide effective opportunities for children as it engages them
with their tasks and they become independent.
1.3 outcome of becoming confident and developing knowledgeable identities, educators develop family involvement teaching and inform their
family members regarding children’s success. They listen and try to understand children’s understanding in order to make them feel valued.

outcome 2.2 of responding to diversity with respect by children can be gained by educators. As they encourage children about interacting with
different cultures of children. They promote positive response to diversity.

Children need to wash their hands in order to prevent spreading this infection. Do not rub eyes. Using cool wet washcloth
Diarrhea: It is being caused by viral and bacterial infection. It is also being caused by parasites when they enter in the body via water and food.
The best way is to avoid foods that are milk based and greasy. Not to drink clear liquids.

Hepatitis B: It is the most common infectious disease that no only affects children but also to elders. It leads jaundice, nausea and fatigue. It is
caused by hepatitis B virus. When children come in contact with blood of an infected person then they become infected

Malaria: It is a mosquito born disease that affects children the most as they are very sensitive.
Chloroquine phosphate is the best treatment for children as they are sensitive to drugs.

Chicken pox: Chicken pox is also common among children that develops itchy, blister rash. It is caused by infection with virus

Hand and foot disease: It is viral illness that affect children by entering via saliva.
Without treatment, it can be treated within 7-10 days.

Answer: Child care workers need to make sure that children’s immunization is up to date. Children should be vaccinated or immunised against
mumps, rubella and measles. Centre staff as well as visitors also need to notify the local public health unit regarding suspected and infected
children and ask for vaccination against: mumps, tetanus, whooping cough, German measles and measles.

Workers: Workers play a vital role in improving health of children as they ensure cleanliness at workplace, provide education to children
regarding nutritional based food and hygiene. They monitor or make sure that children are at safe place and maintain hygiene.
