INTRODUCTIONIn tourism and travel sector, legal and regulatory framework covers many aspects which are depending on the parties involved in this sector. In this present report regulatory framework of travel and tourism sector is to be studied. Legal and regulatory framework of sea and air transport in relation to carriage of passengers is also going to be discussed in this report. Health, safety and security legislation of travel and tourism sector and legislation that relates to equality in tour and travel agency is also cover in this report. Contract legislation and consumer protection legislation is going to be cover in this report. Further more in this report ethical dilemmas and corporate social responsibilities of travel and tourism sectors is to be studied.LO 1Legal and regulatory framework of travel and tourism sectorLegal framework- it includes rules which govern to regulate decision making, agreement and laws. With the continuous growth of tourism sectors, it becomes largest economic sector also and for their regulation different framework and laws areprovided by British government but it is different in countries and which is according to the parties involved in this sectors. Primary objective of developing frameworks arestandard procedure, to develop tourism in regulated manner and to establish rights andobligation for peoples as well as to customers. Following are the laws of tourism and travel sector.Development of Tourism Act, 1969.This act provided for England, Scotland and Wales to establish British tourist authority in countries. To get effective co-ordination between organisations of tourism sector this act is been made.Transports Act 1980 and 1985.To terminate licensing law which affect coach routes and tours which cross 30 miles this act is developed by British government. But this termination increased competition between national bus and private bus.Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours regulations 1992.This regulation establishes responsibility for tour operators in providing proper services to customers and remedies which are available for them and every tour operator is abide under this regulation.( Tsimplis,2017)Consumer protection act 2008.

This act is created to protect customers from misleading, unfair practises. Under this act customer safety laws are provided so that customer feels free to travel.Health and Safety regulations.This act is created to provide safety regulations to customers of the tour and travel industries.These are some of the legal and regulatory framework of travel and tourism sector by British Government in England and Wales, so that business can be done in-accordance with proper rules and regulations.Surface, Sea and Air transport law in relation to carriage of passengers within legal and regulatory frameworks.Legal and regulatory framework related to carriage of passengers in sea, surface and air transport is provided by British government under which law define carrier as a person who is abide under law.( Soyer and Leloudas, 2017) If any loss or damage caused to passengers or vehicles which are shipped during carriage then it is the liability for carrier to pay for the loss. It is also a responsibility of carrier if any personsuffers from loss because of negligence by carrier. Law related to Surface, Sea and Air are as follows.Sea and Waterways Regulations.This regulations cover’s rights for passengers who are travelling through sea and waterways. This regulation is made to provide safety and security to the passengers so that they feel free to travel with Sea and Inland Waterways. Another regulation which is provided by British government is (SOLAS) Safety of Life At Sea. This regulation ensures to provide lifesaving equipments to crew members and passengers in craft which covers at least 12 passengers.Air transport Regulations.This regulation also provides rights to customers who are travelling through air transport. If any death or injury cause to passengers during travelling through air then he/she has right to claim loss and compensation. Under this various regulations are involved like Freedom Agreement under which regulation is provided regarding flying, landing cargo, etc.Surface regulations.This regulation covers International Carriage of Passenger by Road Act, 1979. It protects safety and security to the passengers who are travelling by Roadways.( Howells,and Weatherill,2017) Under this act,
