Dell is one of the largest software companies in the world that is well known for its
high tech laptop computers and laptop batteries, among other products. Dell creates products
of value for its customers, with its computers being characterized by all the features
necessary to make their use a smooth and convenient affair for customers. The supply chain
management system that is followed by Dell Computers, is particularly well known because
of the transparency that is deployed by the company’s management is making sure that
purchasing patterns are visible in real time and that customers are directly communicated
with. Yet there are a number of issues that the company has also been faced with recently,
when it comes to its supply chain process that need to be addressed immediately if the
company is to avoid incurring liabilities and obstacles in its supply chain activities. This
report outlines the various benefits associated with the supply chain management process that
is followed by Dell Computers, identifies the issues that the company has been faced with
lately where it supply chain management is concerned and recommends a number of
important logistics and supply chain management strategies that the company can put in place
