Training Program Delivery Focus:
This assignment requires you to demonstrate your ability to conceptualise, design, develop learning
programs to meet an identified need for a group of learners. The unit addresses the skills and
knowledge needed to identify the parameters of a learning program, determine its design, outline
the content, and review its effectiveness.
LEARNING PROGRAM – HOW DO I GET A LR LICENCE?
PART 1: LR LICENCE
A student makes an enquiry with you and wants to know the process for getting an LR
(light rigid) licence.
1: How to get a driver’s licence

ANSWER:
In order to get driver license there is need to pass hazard perception and practical driving
test. There is need to prepare for both learning and assessment test course of 12 months.
Then, to prepare to written road rule test. After that, class C prepL and written test is
conducted in which it is required to get 905 to pass. At last practical driving test is
conducted.
2: Process for getting a learner’s permit

ANSWER:
In this there is both learning and assessment test which is done. The prepL is around 4-6
hours and course is of 12 months. The prepL can be done simple through smart phone or
computer.

4: Structure of the heavy vehicle road rules (knowledge) test

In this there are total 10 questions in which at least 8 has to be answered correctly. But if
already heavy vehicle license is there then it is not required to take test.
5: Location for taking a written test

ANSWER:
The location for taking test is transport and motoring customer service centre where all
licensing services are performed.

Proof of previous license
Written road rules test fee
License fee
7: Other relevant details about the written test

There is no need to complete drive license application form by going to transport
department.
But it requires to complete driver license application form at police station and QGAP office
There is need to pay fee for each attempt. If test is passed then result is valid for 5 years.
