ASSESSMENT TASK – 1

Self appraisal can be defined as a position in contemplation of one’s own abilities, worth and
significance. It is an act of development of consciousness about one’s well doing and problems
faced to make personal assessment (Goh, 2010). By going through the process of self appraisal a
person will gain new strengths, recover his weaknesses which will result in a positive
performance review.

Peer appraisal is a term which shelves the assessment made by the peers or work colleagues
about the person of one in order to provide constructive feedback in the activities of the person
(Aird, Kennedy & Mcintosh, 2016). Peer appraisal works as a exercise in team building as
significant and constructive feedbacks build trust within the team.
Q3
Work planning defines objectives and goals for the team which mobilizes efficiency and target
based operations.
It provides motivation for team work and initializes team effort by establishing dependency and
coordination between the team members.
Planning helps in predicting issues that may be face during the process and identifying solid
measures to prevent or changes to overcome the issue.
Q4
S – S stands for specific, which articulates that a goal must be specific which carries a particular
target to reach.
M – M stands for measureable. A goal must be involve a quantitative or qualitative trait which is
to be achieved (Bovend'Eerdt, Botell & Wade, 2009).
A – A goal should be set with a real expectation, which is it must be attainable in the given time.
R – A goal must be set with a relevance, as in it must be relevant to the business and its
objectives.
