Target Australia is a private limited company which is a departmental store chain in
Australia. The firm is operated by the Wesfarmers group. The company acquires many stores
all over the country, and it basically operates in 125 targeted country stores and 184 stores in
Australia. It has been observed that in case of retail store it is necessary that the workers are
provided with the effective induction programme for successfully achieving the needs of the
consumers (Viljanen, 2018).
Policy statement and objectives
For increasing the efficiency of the employees within the company, induction programme can
be very effective in it. It is also said that employees must have understanding regarding the
health & safety methods within firm. Therefore, the induction program seems to be very
important for a maintaining a long term relationship with employees (Billot and King, 2017).
