INTRODUCTION
Management and operation is explained as the organisational activity which helps business
to perform better in different situation for the purpose of accomplishing the goals on specific
time period (OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT, 2019). It is necessary because it simply allows the
management to know about the specific requirement of customers which directly helps to utilise
the resources in a systematic manner. The current organisation report is based on Sanctuary
Group which was incorporated in the year 1995. It mainly operates in the area of England and
Scotland.
In context of the file, different topics will be covered which will explain about the role of
leader as well as manager who plays the vital role within the organisation. Number of theories
will be discussed which will have direct link with management and leadership. Also, importance
of operational management will be explained that how it can be effective in accomplishing the
overall goals of an organisation.

different situational contexts.
In any of the business organisation, leader and manager are those people who has the
responsibility to perform any of the task in a specific manner. There are number of those
situation where unexpected decisions are needed to take by manager and leaders so that goals
can be achieved. In context of Sanctuary Group, their manager and leader will have to tackle
different situation through which target can be accomplished. Below, some of the situation has
been discussed.
Example 1
Executing new project: The organisation like Sanctuary Group, had faced the problem
related conflict which started between new and previous employees. The issues was created
because new employees were added in the company as per the requirement of organisation. But,
there was lack of co-ordination among new and existing employees. In this respective condition,
the role of increases automatically as they are required to motivate their employees and make
them understand that how they can develop co-ordination for effective result. Here, it will be the
responsibilities of manager to develop plans and ideas which will be helpful in conducting any of
