INTRODUCTIONThe management of an organisation should need to perform according to the needs anddemands of the customers in order to achieve their desired goals. It includes organising,planning, leading and controlling resources in such a manner that bring positive results to theorganisation. Certain actions and activities need to be implemented in order to compete withtheir rivals (Aubry and et. al., 2012). Therefore the main purpose of this project is to determinewhat are the services Pure Gym provided and analysing of the organisational structure that areimplemented in this company. There are different management approach and strategicmanagement decisions which are applied on the organisation need to be evaluated so as toachieve company's objective in effective and efficient manner.TASK 1Briefly introduce the organisationOrganisation named Pure Gym is Britain's largest gym chain in which 450,000membersare using their services and has planned to open 300gyms by 2020.The pure gym was foundedand established in 2008 and their first site opens in Leed, Manchester and Edinburgh in 2009.After two years,they opened their first gym in London. Pure Gym is a US based private equityfirm with about 500 employees and Tony Ball becomes the board of directors of Pure Gym(Charsombut, 2011). It acquires LA fitness and becomes the UK's largest gym operator by sitesand members and its first TV advertising campaigns launches in 2015. They announces about thepartnership they make with with AXA PPPP Health care,02 and Tom Tom. They said that theyacquired all gyms from rival UK fitness chain bringing the total number of gyms across the UKto 141.They have objective to make everyone fit and enjoy healthy lifestyles by providing healthfitness programs and activities. In order to motivate their members to achieve healthy lifestylegoals they offers 24 hours a day gym service including cardio equipment, fixed and free weightsand exercise classes but did not provide saunas or swimming pools. Pure Gym company hasobjective to make everyone fit and enjoy healthy lifestyle therefore they helps people to provideworld class fitness equipments at an affordable price (Mežinska, Lapiņa and Mazais, 2015). Soas to make fit they will provide quick assessment which includes a gym program and givesproper guidance through providing healthy eating plan. In order to make fit people andproviding healthy lifestyle they designed their gyms in such a way that attracts their members

through charging less prices as well as provides high quality services. They offers great fitnessfacilities with enthusiastic and supportive staff and offers 99% of what 99%of the populationcould possibility want for a truly great work out.Task 2Critically analyse and illustrate the organisational structure of the companyOrganisational Structure: Every organisation has a group of people who work togetherin order to achieve their organisational goals in effective and efficient manner. OrganisationalStructured describes how the tasks are allocated among the members according to their skills andknowledge therefore organisation need to communicate and clarify the roles and responsibilitiesto their members so that they can able to understand about the work they need to perform (Ates,2013). It also involves that how the their top authority guide and directs their members towardsachieving the organisation goals. The organisational structure includes six elements:Work specialisation: It involves the division of work and authority to their membersaccording to their knowledge and skills in order to bring efficiency level in their work.Departmentalisation: There are different departments such as job function, service line,or territory so it is required to grouped and combined together in order to understand theirroles and responsibilities.Chain of command: It provides the chain of communication from top authority to lowerauthority in the form of orders, instructions, queries, direction etc. The higher l3evelmanagement such as manager should need to communicate about their strategies,programs to their members to their medium and lower level management and provide theinformation that who should report to whom in order to bring satisfaction among themembers (Anker Jensen, 2011).Span of control: The top authority such as managing director are responsible for theperformance of their employees therefore it is required for the top authority to provideguidance and direction to them in order to bring efficiency in their work.Centralisation and decentralisation: When top authority such as managing director ofPure Gym takes all the decisions itself without involving lower authority such ascommon or individual trainer it is considered as centralised and if lower authority's
