The self-reflection is considered to be a significantly effective way of expressing the
experience of an incident or event. At times, it is better to learn from the reflection of others
regarding the experience of a situation so that we be able to apply the learning in same sort of
situation in near future (Moon, 2013). Adding to this, the method becomes significantly
helpful as it is time efficient and provides an effortless learning as well (Cottrell, 2017). The
paper is focused in the elaboration of my learning experiences and analyses my intentions
regarding my study at Torrens University and produces the methods in which those intentions
will help me in becoming a professional.
Definition of Business:
According to my consideration, the definition of business is that, it is a set of
activities that involve a number of people with some common values and views regarding the
purpose of the activities which has the success of it, defined in either loss or profit. In
addition this, I identified that different businesses utilises different sorts of resources which
needs to have a coordination framed by a number of individuals. Adding to this, the main
objective of a profitable business, as per my consideration is the generation of the maximum
profit with the consumption of the minimum resources.
Choice of Course:
The course that I chose as my major is Masters in Business Administration. I am
significantly influenced with business management studies and apart from that, my major
course will be of great significance for me in learning the trade of managing the human
resources of the organizations. As it is pretty evident that the modern business organizations
are focused in the scientific management of their business operations, my major course will
provide me the opportunity to work in various organizations in the position of the human

Past experience in the area:
Being a student, I am relatively less experienced in the mentioned aspect. However, I
am very fond of managing teams or leading teams towards the achievement of the desired
goals. I do consider myself capable of managing people in an efficient manner and that is
pretty visible with my skills of managing the members of different cultures, values and social
beliefs. In addition to this, my past experience of managing the conflict amongst the members
of my team, framed for the conduction of a group work, is significant in increasing my
interest in the mentioned area.
Preparation for the course:
As mentioned earlier, I am a student without any prior job experience which indicates
that the required job experience that is expected to prepare me for the course is notably
limited. However, there is considerable amount of academic work experience that have the
potential to prepare me well for the course. I was able to take part in several group projects.
Majority of the projects included more than 5 members and naturally, there was a lot conflicts
amongst the members of the teams regarding the operations and the methods of operations of
the team which I was able to efficiently manage with the implementation of the effective
communication.
Meeting the required outcomes:
I will make sure that the required outcomes of the course are met through the
evaluation of my skills and competencies of managing a group of people. As the study of
business administration effectively monitors the operations such as the recruitment of the
employees, management of the performances of the employees, performance evaluation and
resource managers. Hence, my major course will be notably helpful for me in the earning a
good job and a pretty fine salary as well.

Impact of the course in future:
The application of my studies will be much needed in my professional career as the
effective management of the operations of the human resource managers will be significantly
based on the learning that I achieved from the study. Adding to this, the improvement of my
operations in the desired position of the human resource managers is based on the application
of the learning of the course.
