Introduction:
Cargo handling refers to the transportation of any kind of property. The Air Cargo
system refers to the transportation of properties or live stocks by air. The air cargo system
includes air freight, airmail and air express. The air cargo handling system is maintained and
done in all the airports across the countries. Therefore, thousands of airports all across the
world are dealing in this industry, and hundreds of companies, both small and big are related
to this field. However not all cargo systems deal in all the fields. There are three types of
aircraft system. Firstly, the passenger aircraft, which focus upon the commutation of the
passengers and the spare place in the airplane is used for holding the baggage or the luggage
of the passengers. Secondly, the Cargo Aircraft, which refers to the carry freight system,
which carries people and luggage on the main deck to the belly of the airplane with the means
of side loading and nose- loading (Cargo, 2017). Thirdly is the Combi Aircraft, which carries
the cargo on the part of the main deck, either before or after the passenger’s section.
However, there are many airlines who only deal with the passengers, and then there
are certain airlines, who deal in the livestock only, and certain airlines organizations focus on
the commutation of both the human resource and the livestock.
Therefore, in the following report an analysis will be made upon the physical air
cargo flow from the origin to the destination, the role sand responsibilities of the of the
service providers in the cargo system. Also, the storage requirements and the handling service
related to the various cargo system will also be analyzed in the following report (Reis &
Silva, 2016).
Since the requirement of the report is on the livestock, therefore, the report will
essentially focus upon the transportations of the Race Horses, through the airline system.

Many airlines of the country deal in the commutation of diverse range of livestock,
which vary from precarious race horses to transportation of the zoo animals. They also
undertake the exchange programs and the conservation programmers of the zoo animals.
Also, they take care of the household pets and undertake the commutation of the same. In the
following report the commutation system or the supply chain of the race horses will be
discussed.
There are a lot of factors related to the management of the supply chain of the race
horses. A lot of positions and people are related to this. Also, there are a number of people
involved in the whole commutation process. The transportation of the full grown, pre carious
horses, by air, also involve certain level of risk management. There are many people involved
in the whole process, whose roles are much important for the successful completion of the
commutation process. In the supply chain of racehorses, the main actors involved are the
shippers, origin freight forwarders, the export customs, origin GHA, carrier, the destination
GHA, import customs, the destination freight forwarders, and the consignee. The shippers
perform the task of shipping the cargo from the suppliers to freight forwarders. These
products are then cleared from the export customs and then stored in the warehouses. These
products are then prepared for being transported to the destination place in cargo plane and it
is received in the destination GHA. Then the import customs clears the imported products,
which are then forwarded by the destination freight forwarders to the consignee.
