After the analysis from the feedback of the Assignment 1, the introduction has been provided
that is significant for defining the structure of the assignment and the score has been provided
above average. The introduction of the assignment provided the clear structure of the
assignment and the methods by which the assignment has been formed. The problem and the
research question is important for the gaining idea about the main intention for which the
assignment has been formed and the analysis has been carried out for defining the clear
research problem for the assignment. The client meeting was conducted and in that
interactive session that were some questionnaire to the client like the future prospect of the
company and the model of the project design. The software as well as the system that are
being planned to apply to execute the smooth operation of the system in the poultry farm. The
literature review has been carried out in the assignment 1 for understanding the earlier
researches that has been done in the selected sector of the assignment. The literature review is
important in the project for understanding the past researches that have been carried out in the
sector and also discover some gaps in the literature for which the project would be
implemented for the client. In the assignment 1, as per the feedback from the lecturer,
referencing has not been done properly and this is particularly important for providing the
required recognition to the past researchers in the chosen project and the topic of the project.

The Gantt chart that have been provided above provides the extensive graphical
representation of the planning schedule and it also coordinates all the tasks in the project of
the “management of smart poultry farm using IoT”. The group of the project was formed at
the beginning of the semester. In the initial stage, the initiation of the project was done in
which the process identification was done, the suitable employee identification was done, the
extensive evaluation of the standards and the policies was done after the earlier stage, then
the justification of the requirement of the project was evaluated and the feasibility study was
executed in the last stage. In the planning phase, the scope statement of the project was
defined, the large deliverables were divided into the smaller ones, and the identification of all
the required tasks was done for the production of the deliverables, then the duration of the
tasks were defined and in the last stage the forecasting of the cost of the project was done.
The execution phase was of 14 days where the following of the created plan was done, the
assigning of the tasks to the appropriate team members was done, then the monitoring the
process has been done and the management of the contract was secured in the project in the
last stage. In the stage of the monitoring and the control, the measurement of the project
progress was done and the measurement of the quality of the deliverables was done. Finally
the required processes was closed in the project closure phase.

In this above diagram, it has been displayed how the technology works and functions for
enabling the use of the IoT in the poultry farms. It could be discovered that the LM35
temperature sensor is majorly suited for the reading and managing the temperature of the
poultry farming according to the level of the atmosphere. For the detection of the unwanted
and the harmful gases from the system, the MQ2 gas sensor has been deployed coding for
microcontroller according to the designed circuit diagram will be processed by using IDE
software. Based about climate, the bulb will be ON or OFF with the help of the relay circuit.
However, when the value of food is received command by the system then the food will be
dropped on the tray and it is monitored by the consumers. Both smartphones and GSM
modules are used for getting information on a poultry farm and exchanging data or signals
from one place to another. The proposed system also contains wireless sensor networks and a
microcontroller device. By using this system, the real-time data can be produced, and the
performance of the poultry farm can be maintained in an effective manner. Therefore, the IoT
based system can help consumers for enhancing the effectiveness of poultry farming by
reducing the challenges and issues faced by poultry farm.
Project Individual Research Approach
According to the requirements of the assignment 2, the group was supposed to prepare the
Design approach for this project, but as the project of the group is completely research based,
it was required to specify the approaches of the research that has been executed till now and
that is aimed to be executed in the future for the successful completion of the project. The
client did not have their personal system for the management of the poultry farms using the
IoT and they had to appoint a company to implement the system of the IoT for the poultry
farm. The research approach that has been executed is:

This above image displays the stages that were involved in the project of the client. In the
initial stage, the proper identification of the requirements was done as well as the
expectations of the client was also discovered. Afterwards the initial meeting with the client,
the group was able to properly identify the requirements of the client. The client expected the
implementation of the smart system after the complete successful testing and the analysis for

preventing any drawback against the system. The appropriate knowledge or the basic idea is
required to be acquired for allowing the proper working on this project. In order to gain the
complete understanding of the technology and the working of the technology for allowing the
clear idea of the technology. The area of the study has been identified and then it was
distributed evenly among the various members of the group by the consideration of the
weightage of each of the topic. The proper testing of the system was done for preventing any
kind of damage of the technology once it has been deployed in the farms. The changes that
are to be made in the farms had been identified during the testing phase that clearly displayed
that several changes were required to be made. The analysis of the results was done and the
concise report was provided to the client so that the client could make the appropriate
preparation for the implementation of the smart system in the farm. The report is required to
be prepared on the complete research that has been done and the appropriate methodology
that has been used for discovering the research problem, countermeasures, specification of
the problems and the implemented solution and some of the recommendations that are
required to be considered for in the future.
