Introduction
The operations management main focus is on managing the processes to produce and
distribution of goods and services. In the other words, it is include significant measurement and
logical thinking of internal processes. The operations management is concerns about the
planning, organizing and supervising the production process, manufacturing or the condition of
services. Under this management the all operating activities are taken into consideration starting
from the manufacturing till the distribution of product and services in the target market. It is
governance of the business practice to make up the largest level of efficiency in the organisation.
It is process of converting the raw material into finished product and services in any
organisation. With the references of John lewis, is a departmental stores offering different type of
home ware, fashionable cloths and many electrical devices in the UK market. Under this report
the role of leader and manager will be discussed and their function are to be evaluated.

The manager of the John lewis looks after all the operations activities in the management team
so that profits can be earned in long period of time. It is duty of the leader to lead a team of
people in affirmative manner so that objectives can be achieved in the market.
Fast changes: In the dynamic work environment, the customer taste and preference
keeps on changing in the marketplace . The company has to modifies their goods and services
according to the trends in the target market to attract and retain the existing customer in the
organisation. In this complex environment, the technologies changes so fast in the workplaces ,
the company have to uses new technology in their management so that they can have a
competitive advantages in the market and increase the productivity of the overall company.
Conflict resolution: Here conflict arising in the member of the group and among the
employees and employers due to miscommunication and misunderstanding in the team. It is
grow because of different point of view among the employees, having ineffective team in the
organisation can be dissolve by applying proper procedures in their methods of production and
having good interaction among the team members from time to time. The best method to solve
