INTRODUCTION
Management behaviour is the way in which manager performs several activities within
organization for enhancing the productivity of the organization. Leadership behaviour is the way
in which leaders perform action in organization to achieve organizational goals. Damson Dene
Hotel, is a hotel service which provide luxury hotel services to their customers. The report will
analyse different teamwork theories and impact of management behaviour on organization will
also be done in this report. Different theories for improving management skills will also be
included in this report. The report will develop a critical profile for Wayne Bartholomew in
context of effectiveness and overall performance.
Leadership of Wayne Bratholomew
Leadership style of the Wayne Bratholomew can be projected in the following manner.
Progressive leadership
The leadership of the Wayne Bratholomew can be stated as the progressive style of
leadership. Progressive leadership drive the leaders to make progressive decisions that can
support the profitability of organisation. Progressive style of leadership allows the leaders to take
step on the basis of vision of the CEO (Gibson and Groom, 2020). Wayne Bratholomew also
consisted the progressive style in his leadership which could drive him towards channelising the
branding campaign of company with the support of social media. The strategy of channelising
video campaigning was a legit example of progressive style of leadership of the CEO of Amazon
Company (Zanutto and Piras, 2019). This leadership style could result into increase in the
popularity and branding of the Damson Dane Hotel as it could make the profiling of hotel in
between the general people. The impact of video publishing contained that almost 2.3 million
peoples were aware from the hotel brand (Gamama, Bazza and Imam, 2018). This could
channelise a demand of the hotel in market. Hospitality sector immensely competitive sector as
plenty of companies are operating the business due to huge demand of sector and heavy
profitability. This branding campaigning of Wayne Bratholomew could improve the overall
demand of the hotel that turned out to be a very effective decision of the leadership of Wayne
Bratholomew (Taylor, 2018). As a leaders Wayne Bratholomew always give emphasis to
utilising the social media and all digital platforms that can result into positive business outcome.
In his leadership he has given huge emphasis over technological advancement of the

organisation. All latest technology equipment company has installed that could afford by
company (Dwivedi and et.al., 2018). Progressive style of leadership drive the leadership in
performing the best level of operations of organisation. Even having a low brand value the
Wayne Bratholomew could generate a demand for hotel from the branding campaign.
System leadership
System leadership is another key leadership style associated with the CEO Wayne
Bratholomew. System leadership is about to establish a proper system in organization.
Hospitality organisation consist up with multiple sections and department on the basis of the
functions all such department consist different operations like front office, room service and all
various functions (Suferi and Rahman, 2018). Due to this leadership style of the Wayne
Bratholomew a proper system could be established to sustain the effective flow of operations of
the Damson Dane Hotel (Hosseini, Barzoki and Isfahani, 2018). Due to his approach of system
leadership the CEO could entertain effective guest satisfaction level that can attract more number
of potential customers associated with the hospitality sector. Due to this approach he could
attract to travellers and travel enthusiast people to visits the place and book the hotel (Al-Dhaafri
and Alosani, 2020). System leadership approach of the CEO could support in improving the
overall performance of hotel. The instant popularity of the hotel due to getting the promotional
video viral was one of the reason of such a leadership approach.
Contingency leadership
This is another key leadership approach usage by the Wayne Bratholomew to meet the
objectives of business. Damson Dane Hotel was suffering from losses this was a contingent
situation for the business (Muller, 2018). The leadership approach denoted as contingent
leadership could make him guide towards channelizing the promotional video to improve the
profitability of company. This strategy of the CEO could deliver a profitable business outcome
as the hotel could witness more popularity as compare to earlier situation. This approach of
leadership has turned out to be very beneficial for the organisation in form of more demand and
popularity in against to the tactic denoted as channelising promotional video.
The above mentioned approaches are used by the Wayne Bratholomew that could
support the overall business outcomes of the hotel. These approaches of the leader could support
the overall popularity and brand value of hotel (Hunt and et.al., 2016). Being a leader it becomes
crucial to understand the business environment and on the basis of the situational analysis its

about to take the best decision. As the progressive approach makes him able to understand the
need which could drive the promotional idea and channelizes a promotional video to gain
popularity and support for the growth and development of business. Hospitality sector
immensely depends upon how much the brand contain value as it belong to service sector.
Business outcome
Wayne Bartholomew, is the general manager is a very effective leader in this industry
which has made the organization have a lot of improvement from the past to the future. There is
a document series which Wayne has built on YouTube so that they can attract more customers
and the videos show the hotels interiors so that there is going to be effective functioning
(Permana, Widjaja and Rony, 2020). The hotel is having more customers and more positive
reviews by the customers which were not present before which is making the company have a
better performance. Though Wayne is having a lot of popularity because of these series which is
that he is having a lot of loyalty and fans on Facebook around 3,132 which is a huge number for
the manager to have. This shows that the impact Wayne has made in the organization by his
performance and control on the employees of the hotel (Anggraeni, Dwiatmadja and Yuniawan,
2017). The series is having 2.3 million views on the first episode which is a record in itself which
can be used for further promotions of the hotel in the market. The customers are very satisfied
because the staff which is present in the series are entertaining the guests which come in the
hotel. The manager is entertaining the guests of hotel very well and the staff is also well trained
and well spoken which is going to make the hotel have higher performance. It is essential for the
organization to make sure that they are having a stable workforce and except two employees, all
the other workforce was present in the series of the hotel (Maio and et.al., 2020). All the
important locations of the hotel has been captured in the series so that there would be a higher
impact which is going to be present on the customers. There are not just more reviews which the
customers are giving but also there is higher occupancy which the hotel is having currently
because of these series. This is a new trend and unique feature which the hotel has got in the
industry which is going to make the performance of the business increase and the hotel will be
able to operate effectively (Ik and Azeez, 2020). The series is showing the well mannered and
trained employees which are present in the company so that the performance of the organization
is going to be present and the customers are going to get attracted because of this factor in the
company. There are a lot of managers which are trying to get higher performance of their hotel in

the market but Wayne is using a unique feature which is going to make the sales of the
organization increase. The organization must had 14 pages of review earlier but now the
organization is having a lot many pages which is a very good factor for the hotel since the
reputation and brand image has increased because of these series (Lockhart, Shahani and
Bhanugopan, 2020).
Application of team-working theory
Waynar is Hotel manager who practices different leadership styles in order to improve
individuals skills and improves their working performance. Manager took initiative of making
series according to him, series made stars their staff members. Waynar took all staff in the series
except two members of staff. However, waynar could improve people management skills in the
workplace if he would practice different team-working skills in order to improve people
management skills. For example Tuckman is one of the best team-working theory that
emphasizes on the way in which a team or group of member tackles a task from the initial
development of the team, through to wind-up the project. This team-working theory comprises
four stages i.e. forming, storming, norming and performing. Wayner could practice all different
stages of tuckman theory to improve people management skills instead of boycott two members
of staff from series. In forming stage, Waynar could organize a meeting and involves all
employees. In the meeting he could share his thought that why he is going to form a team and
what is the significance that would bring responsibility in individuals for their job and definitely
each could put more efforts. Thus, Hotel manager could bring healthy conversation in
individuals. Storming is second stage of team development wherein Hotel manager could allow
individuals to share their ideas related to task ad listen them properly that could help manager to
complete project more effectively. However, Waynar requires acting as leader because this stage
brings conflict consequences in team members. Norming stage is ideal phase of team beginning,
in this stage Waynar could delegate different tasks to different teams and supports them
whenever they require help while dealing tasks. Performing stage is the last of Tuckman theory
in this stage waynar achieve better results because number of people in a team performs different
tasks for completing project on time (Forming - Storming - Norming – Performing, 2019).
Thus, this tuckman theory definitely could easily improve people management skills. Belbin
theory of team roles is another team-working theory that could also improve waynar's people
management skills. The reason behind is that, this theory comprises nine roles of every team

such as plant, resource investigator, coordinator, shaper, monitor, evaluator, team-worker,
implementer, completer-finisher and specialist. These are the different roles of Belbin theory
(The Theories of Team Building, 2020). So, Hotel manager easily could practice different team
roles and manage it's team that ultimately improve number of skills then he could effectively
manage whole staff in systematic manner. Carl jung's Color Theory is another effective team-
working theory that stated that how colour determinate of human attitude. This theory could
practice by Waynar that would support him to understand individuals behaviour. With the
support of Carl Jung's theory he could improve his people management skills in the workplace.
From the above analysis it can be understood that Waynar could improve his people management
skills if he would effectively practice mentioned team-working theories.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that there has to be effective teamwork which is
required in the organization so that the targets and objectives can be achieved faster. Right
theories and strategies will have to be used in the business to be able to have a higher
performance. Having unique identity is also going to make the company have loyal and
satisfactory customers in the company and increase the revenue generation in the organization so
that there it can be used for the future expansion. All problems in a business have a solution and
they have to be taken out on time so that the business will be able to grow effectively.
