This article discusses the application of three management theories, namely Human Relations Motivation Theory, Maslow Need theory, and Bureaucracy need, to resolve leadership and management issues in the workplace. It also explores the organizational structure of the new company AB after the merger of two big firms in the fast food sector.

INTRODUCTION
Management theories are those application which helps the
organization by recommending them the theories which can help them
in making strategies that can be implement by the companies in this
dynamic surrounding. These theories help them in improving the
communication line, solving issues, focus on more important area of
the company.
TASK 1 Three management theories to resolve the leadership and
management issues
After the merger the company faces a lot of issue which act as hurdle in
the workplace. The problem that arises in the new entity AB are lack of
staff motivation, ineffective team work, communication gap, cultural
issues, lack of effective utilisation of resources, lower retention rate etc.
To solve these issue, the Behavioural management theory will be used.
Human Relations Motivation Theory: Maslow Need theory:
Bureaucracy need: This theory was developed by the Elton Mayo and
is motivation theory that need to be adopted in the workplace. In this
theory Mayo conduct a study which is known as Hawthorne studies.
This experiment is conducted with large number of employee who are
working there. This is done to known what factor are useful for the
employee to boost their motivation and increases team effectiveness
Maslow Need theory: This theory was developed by Abraham
Maslow. In this theory the need of the employee is been ranked from
bottom to top. A hierarchy is preparing and their need, wants and desire
are placed accordingly. There are five needs of employee. To retain
employee and increase motivation there need is to be priorities on that
basis.

Bureaucracy need: This need is being describe by Max Weber. This
bureaucracy need is the most effective theory in the time of merger.

TASK 2: Organisational structure of new company AB
An organisation structure is a term which clearly established a
framework from top manger to the lower manger. This structure is form
so that employee could know to whom to report and how many
departments are there in an organisation. Here activities are being
directed towards achieving the goals.
In the above structure it is been noted that after the merger of company
A and B, the new structure will be three level of manger, the top level,
middle level and the lower level.
Top Level: Top level managers are those who will responsible for
making plans, policies and procedure for the working of the
organisation.
Middle level: The middle level is those departments which are
responsible for whole working. They act as a linkage between top level
and lower level.
Lower level: They are those people who actually watches the
performance and make sure that production is been done.
This theory explains the organisational
structure of the company. A proper
hierarchy is being designed to tell
employee who is their supervisor and
who are the subordinate. In this theory
more importance is given to Authority.
