INTRODUCTION
Managing a successful business is a critical task for every employees, as it includes
various aspects like cost, time, quality, resources etc. which need to be taken into consideration
while making an effective project plan which will indirectly result in achieving a successful
business in competitive market at global level (Ariely, 2012). Therefore the company which is
being taken into consideration in order to carry out this assignment is Bianca shoe line. It is one
of the retailer operating firm which is engaged product line of shoes. Therefore in order to
achieve success this company has challenged to create and market a brand new summer shoes so
as to compete with big name brand by taking part in London fashion week which is taking place
on 16th - 20th February 2019. This assignment gives the brief about the aims and objectives of
project as well as well as work break down structure and Gantt chart is being prepared. Lastly a
recommendation is being given so as to carry out project plan effectively.
MAIN BODY
P1 (A) Project aims and objectives
Bianca shoe line is one of the retailer operating firm which is engaged in products items
of shoes. Therefore in order to achieve success this company has challenged to create and market
a brand new summer shoes so as to compete with big name brand by taking part in London
fashion week which is taking place on 16th - 20th February 2019. The time frame to accomplish
this challenge is of 2 months (Zone and Ayech, 2014).
Aims:
“To create and market a brand new summer shoes in order to take part in London fashion
week which is taking place on 16th - 20th February 2019”- A case study on Bianca shoe line”.
Objectives:
 To create and market summer shoes so as to compete with big name brand by increasing
sales from 10% to 12% within 3 months.
 To test the designed shoes before taking product into the market so as to increase sales up
to 12 % within 3 months.
 To evaluate the success of project implementation whether increase in sales up to 12% is
being achieved or not within 3 months so that recommendation can be suggested to
company if there need to make any changes.

P2 (B1) Project management plan that covers cost, scope, time, quality, communication and
resources
Project management plan is legal, formal document which is used in order to manage and
proper execute project activities. With the help of project management plan, there is proper
definition of aims and objectives, measures to control operations in effective manner. This helps
to create coordination in better and relevant manner. Research is done with the help of different
activities such as introduction, aims and objectives, data collection, etc. which are discussed in
project management plan and actions are performed in better and relevant manner
(BOUGUENOUS, 2012). There are some components which are considered to get positive
results, these are discussed as under-
Cost- Cost is the amount which is incurred in launching and marketing of new product by
managers of Bianca shoe line. There is requirement of proper planning of activities, resources,
etc. which makes performance of globalise activities. It is cost related to leasing expense, labour
coat, expertise knowledge, etc. which helps in successful launching of Summer Shoe in London
Fashion Week. There is estimation of around £6200 cost for successful launch of product. While
conducting this research, there is requirement of change some cost for completion of project.
This requires cost of around £200 for making available internet connect and other mandatory
things.
Scope- Scope refers area under which activities has to be performed. As per case of
launching Summer Shoes in London Fashion Week, there is increment in scope of working
because with new market, there is more competition, sales, consumer base, etc. for Bianca shoe
line. With globalise working criteria gets improved which is beneficial for growth and
development of organisation (Pekuri and et. al., 2014). With conducting, this research researcher
is able to have knowledge about globalisation, techniques of conducing research, etc. Hence in
near future, it is easy for researcher to conduct research related to topic.
Time- Time is required to conduct research under which aims and objectives have to
attain. In this research aims to launch and market Summer Shoe in London Fashion Week, so
there is requirement of specific time. Mangers of Bianca shoe line requires time of 8 months in

which proper planning, related to launching is conducted. This research is conducted within 8
weeks because there re many activities such as introduction, planning aims and objectives, etc.,
are performed. In order to analyse time of research, time scale is used. Time scale is the
technique which is used by researcher to analyse different time allotted to various research
activities.
Quality- At international level, there are more competitors and consumers are more
quality conscious, so in this case it is responsibility of managers of Bianca shoe line to launch
best quality shoe, so they can easily out shine in market. When quality is good, then ther is word
of mouth adverting about New Summer Shoes, so it ease in improving sales. Hence in order to
deal at international market, it is essential to maintain quality of product and services. While
conducting this research, it is responsibility of researcher to collect data from relevant and
authentic sources, this helps to provide proper interpretation and conclusion about research topic.
Communication- Communication refers to sharing of information, data, ideas from one
person to another (Franchini, 2015). Managers of Bianca shoe line are thinking to launch and
market New Summer Shoes in London Fashion Week, so there must be proper communication
among different departments. Because there are many departments such as marketing, research
and development, sales, etc. which are indulge in making this event successful. This can be done
with the help of proper communication channel such as business phones, mails, conference calls,
meetings, etc. While conducting this research, there is communication among different team
mates with the help of mails, conference call, video and audio call, etc. which helps to provide
knowledge about roles and responsibilities to individuals. With the help of proper
communication, less possibilities of mismanagement of activities and aims and objectives are
achieved within specified time.
Risk- Risk is the factor which shoes uncertainty of happening or non happening of
events. As managers of Bianca shoe line are thinking to launch and market products, then in this
case there is risk of being failure because of improper advertisement, lack of technologies
aspects, etc. which affects business growth (Pulina and Timpanaro, 2012). Hence this aspect has
to be considered by managers of Bianca shoe line has to consider in order to get positive
outcome. While expanding business at international level with marketing at London Fashion
Week, there is risk of low quality raw material products, quality of product and services is not
appropriate, lack of funds, etc. In case of lack of funds, there is delay in launching products at

London Fashion Week which affects brand image in negative manner. While marketing at
international level, there is requirement of some employees, so there is risk that employees may
leave job in between the project, this results in lack off workforce. While conducting this
research, there is risk of misplacing of data, miscommunication among team mates, etc. which
affects research activities and aims and objectives may not achieved on time.
Resources- There is requirement of different resource such finance, employees, expertise
knowledge, legal advisor, knowledge about local legal legislations, etc. to Bianca shoe line while
launching New Summer Shoe at London Fashion Week. With the help of these resources, it is
easy to represent organisation in market which helps in good sales of New Summer Shoe and
successful launch (Furlong, 2013). While conducting this research, there is requirement of
resources such as computer, internet connection, communication channel which helps to
communicate among team mates for successful completion of research.
P3 (B2) Work breakdown structure and a Gantt chart
Work Break Down structure:
Work Break down structure is a deliverable oriented breakdown of different task into
smaller chunks. Additionally its is defined as a key project deliverable which organizes the team
work into manageable sections (Boserup, Tan and Toulmin, 2013). Thus, it is used by Bianca
shoe line because it is term be be essential in order to get a project off the ground.

Gantt Chart:
Gantt Chart is a horizontal bar chart which is used to describe about the time frame and
schedule in which the work need to be accomplished. Additionally it render the graphical
illustration of the plan and helps in tracking the specific task in a project. This chart list the task
which need to be performed on the vertical axis, whereas the time in which the task need to be
accomplished is mentioned in horizontal axis.

P4 (C) Research to generate knowledge
It is an essential part for the research which will help an investigator to collect accurate
information and data about the topic. For this, research onion is refer as an important framework
for the investigator to find out different useful methods. This framework includes different layers
which are describe as under:
Research Philosophy: It is an essential type of research method which is classified into
two parts such as interpretivism and positivism philosophy. For this research project,
Interpretivism philosophy is used because it help an investigator to identify impact related to the
research. On the other side, positivism philosophy is not used because it is not suitable for
carrying out each activities of research effectively .
Research Approach: Inductive and deductive are known as an effective research
approach which is used to test the research hypotheses appropriately. All these approach is

essential but according to the researcher only used inductive approach. As it give accurate data
about the topic as compare to inductive approach.
Research Choice: There are two choice for the researcher to select research such as
qualitative and quantitative. In case of qualitative research, investigator get quality information.
Under quantitative research, research get information in form of figures, facts etc. Thus both are
effective but as per this research qualitative research is used because it give accurate information
about the topic (Intriligator, 2017).
Techniques and Procedures, and Research Instruments: There are different types of
research instrument, procedures and techniques such as observation, survey interview,
questionnaire etc. All these are important but according to study questionnaire is applied because
it give reliable and valid data about the topic.
Data collection: For collecting information about the customer's response towards
marketing of new summer shoes in London fashion week. There are two types of data sources
such as primary and secondary. In case of primary source, questionnaire will be prepared by
investigator with the aim of collecting reliable information. On the other hand, under secondary
source, books, Magazines, journals and many other sources are used to accumulate proper
information from the respondents.
Research Sampling: There are basically two types of data sampling such as random and
non-random. Both are useful in selecting sample size of population (ROTARU, 2014). As per the
research topic, non-random sampling method are used because it provide equal changes to the
respondents and not need maximum time and cost of the company as compare to random
sampling method. For this selected sample size is 30 respondents. Customers are identify main
respondents for this project.
Research Ethics: It is mainly based on three principles which should follow by research
in questionnaire process. In this research should aware about the three principles such as
anonymity, confidentiality and informed consent (Morris and Geraldi, 2011).
Research Limitation: Time is consider one of the main limitation for the research
project. For completing research activities successfully, research need sufficient period of time.
Thus, as whole, in order to complete research, appropriate time period is needed.

introduced shoes will perform well and surpasses the expectations of the organisation. For this
company needs to carry out advertisements through social media and other platforms. Feature
and design of this product is standardised due to which customer will feel highly satisfied while
using them (Younos, 2011). After getting all this information, it is recommended toBianca shoe
linethat they can launch and market their new developed shoes within and outside UK. As their
product is standardised, people from outside UK will also willingly buy it. For attaining this
opportunity, it is recommended to the manager of company to formulate and implement efficient
policies which will helps the company in expanding their customer base. Another
recommendation for the concerned company is to take advantage of social media in promoting,
advertising and marketing their shoes within marketplace.

1) Success of the project along with its value in supporting organisational performance

Project initiated byBianca shoe line was to introduce new shoes in London fashion week
in order to expand their revenues and profitability. For this purpose a research was carried out in
which opinions of random people related to the product are gathered. In accordance to that the
required changes are carried out. To perform research, some respondents are taken and their
opinions are acknowledged. During the research I faced several issues related to capital and time
management. Because of lack of coordination, issues and conflicts among teammates also arises.
As I face time shortage also, so I have to gather some data form secondary research methods.
Other than that, I faces some issues related to funds. To overcome that I take help form my
parents and friends. After passing all these barriers, I was able to draw a conclusion which will
helps company in achieving their desired results. But I need to overcome my weakness which I
noticed during research, if I wish to achieve desired results.
