INTRODUCTION
Globalisation can be defining as a process which helps organisation to grow and develop
business at international level (Hillson, 2017). This process is very helpful in operating business
function at international level as well as providing products and services across global market.
Globalisation will lead to increasing market share and migration of labour within the countries.
Chosen company for this report is Cadbury. This company is dealing in confectionery industry
and it is British multinational confectionery company. Cadbury company was formed in year
1824 and John Cadbury was founder of this company. Headquarter of this organisation is located
in Uxbridge, London, England and it is operating its business function in all over the world. This
report is going to cover how multinational organisation are enhancing their Human Resource
work practices that can be recruitment, selection as well as training so that they can match with
international requirement. It includes different methods and way of collecting and analysing data
for achieving goals of respective organisation.
TASK 1
P1. Aims and objectives for the project
Background of project:
Cadbury is one of this largest company dealing in confectionery industry. It is a British
multinational company which is providing confectionery products. Headquarter of Cadbury is
located in Uxbridge, London, England and it is providing its goods and services all around the
world. This company was formed in 1824 and founder of Cadbury is John Cadbury (Young,
2016). Product line of this Cadbury includes bars, beverages, cooking, desserts ice cream,
biscuits etc. Under this report it has been identified that globalisation play a huge role in growth
and developing of business. Company can increase its profitability by expanding its market area
and providing its products and services across the globe. It is conducted to analyse how
international company can enhance the recruitment, selection as well as training of their workers
in order to match with global requirement.

Research Aim:
To analyse the ways to improve the recruitment, selection and training of employees to
meet international requirements. A case study on Cadbury”
HR practices such as recruitment, selection and training plays a crucial role in achieving
business objectives. Improvement in recruitment process will help in finding and attracting right
and capable employee for organisation. Selection process will help will leads to choose more
suitable candidate within organisation. Company needs to improve its training process as it will
be very helpful in increasing skills and ability of employees. By improving in these processes
company will be able to meet international requirements. This will help in enhancing the
productivity of business as well as conducting its functions in effective and efficient way.
Improvement in recruitment, selection and training process will help dealing in competitive
environment.
Research Objective:
To evaluate the need of changes which can be potentially used under the process of
recruitment, selection and training of an organisation.
To determine impact of on the job and off the job methods of training on the productivity
of company. To analyse how changes in recruitment, selection and training process of staff member
will assist in meeting with global requirements.
Research Questions:
What is the need of changes which can be potentially used under the process of
recruitment, selection and training of an organisation?
What is the impact of on the job and off the job methods of training on the productivity
of company?
How changes in recruitment, selection and training procedure of staff member will assist
in meeting with global requirements?
P2. Development of a project management plan.
Project management plan can be defining as a process of initiating, planning, executing,
monitoring as well as controlling activities. Plan is very important in successful execution and
implementation of project (Cleden, 2017). There are various aspects that needs to be cover such
as cost, scope, time, quality, communication, risk and resources in a project management plan.

All of these play a crucial role in management of project. These aspects are mention below in
detail.

Cost: Cost refers to money that is included in successful completion of this research. Cost
is very essential part of project as no activity of this research can be conducted without
cost. For conducting an effective research, researcher needs to analyse the amount of cost
that is needed in carrying out all the cost. For this research total cost involved in
successful completion is £100 and £150 amount is required to complete project. Time: This can be defining as a duration that is required to complete all task and
activities related to this research. Researcher have to identify what is the time duration
that is required to accomplished the research. Approx 7 weeks of time is needed to
complete all task of this research. In order to successful implement this project time
frame required is 4 weeks. Quality: This term basically refers to the quality standard that is required of this research
(Polonsky and Waller, 2018). Quality includes the data collected as well as analysed
while conducting this research project. In order to conduct a high quality research,
researcher needs to collect more real and accurate data as per the research. Risk: There are different risk component that are included while management of a
research. Researcher needs to deal with all of the risk and problems during this research.
In this project data and information is collected from various sources such as primary and
secondary sources. There are high chances of collecting wrong data from secondary
sources. Communication: Communication is one of the important factor that is required in
conducting a successfully research. Researcher needs to communicate with many people
such as clients, customers, employees etc. in order to collect more appropriate and
accurate data.

Scope: This is a very important factor that needs to be consider while conducting an
effective and efficient research. Scope of this research project is to analysis how
multinational companies can improve their recruitment, selection and training process so
that they can meet with the international requirements.
Resources: In order to conduct an effective and efficient research, researcher have to use
various resources (Taherdoost and Keshavarzsaleh, 2018). There are different types of
resources that is required by researcher such as primary and secondary sources. This will
help in smooth flow of research as well as completing all task with minimum errors.
P3. Work breakdown structure and a Gantt chart.
Breakdown structure
Work breakdown structure can be referring as a method which helps in dealing with
complex and multi stage task. This can be represented in a form of chart which includes all
elements of a critical work. Breakdown structure is very helpful in successful completion of this
research. This structure is beneficial in taking top to bottom look of the research project and
breaking major task into small parts (Ungureanu, Pop and Ungureanu, 2016). Work breakdown
structure has helped in predicting the outcomes based on various scenarios. This will ensure that
optimum decision is taken as well as suggest changes whenever required.
