INTRODUCTIONManaging a project is defined as an activity of planning, execution or finishing a specificproject in a given time-frame so that expected goals or objectives will be achieved within a giventime period. Whereas, recruitment and selections are those methods that are used byorganisations for hiring or selecting experienced or knowledgeable applicants so that they canmeet with the international requirements. These methods are very important and executed by HRdepartments so that competitive advantage can be gained by a firm. Present assignment is basedon Nestle which is a multinational company and providing its services in food and beveragessector along with headquarters in Switzerland. Company offers a wide variety of food andbeverages products like bottled water, pet foods, frozen foods etc. Present assignment willdiscuss about the aims or objectives of company for meeting with international requirements.Project management plan along with several aspects like scope, cost, risk will also preparedunder this report. Literature ReviewRecruitment According to Martin, (2016) “ Recruitment is a procedure in which an organisationsearching the applicants and encourage them for applying the jobs in firm.” Furthermore, it is aprocess of finding and attracting knowledgeable or experienced candidates for the vacantposition of organisation (What is recruitment, 2016).According to Ruth Mathew, (2019) “Recruitment is the process of finding and hiringknowledgeable and skilled candidates for a particular job or position in a systematic manner.”This process is related with a full life cycle which is started from the identification ofrequirements of a firm for a vacant position and ends with introduction of a new candidate in theorganisation (Explanation of recruitment Process, 2019).According to William B. Werther and Keith Devis, (2018) “ Nestle is more focused onhiring or promoting the people who wants to learn and highly motivated instead of thosecandidates who have certain bullets on their resume. Nestle is a company which is based on itsprinciples instead of earning profits(Definition of recruitment, 2018).Selection

According to Kannan, (2018) “Selection is a process through which candidates who areinvited for recruitment process are categorise in two parts first who will take the offer letter andsecond one are those who will not.” In addition with this, it is a process of selecting the mostsuitable candidate for the current vacant position from within or outside the organisation(Kannan,2018). According to Decenzo & Robbins, (2016) “ This activity follows a proper standardpattern which is started from an interview and finished at final decision of employment.”Selection is a screening and filtering procedure of applicants who are invited for applying for thevacant positions (Definition-of-recruitment-and-selection, 2016). According to Yadav, and Sharma, (2015).“In Nestle, Selection is based on the merit for the jobrequirement of vacant position and competitive salary which is aligned with the structure of thecompany.” (Yadav, 2015)TrainingAccording to Burns, (2017), “ Training is an act of enhancing knowledge and efficiencyof staff members for performing a specific job.” In addition to this, it is an organised processthrough which individuals of a firm learn knowledge or skills for a specific purpose (Burns,2017).According to Carkhuff, (2017) “ Training is a pre-planned activity which emphasises onenhancing the capabilities and efficiencies of employees so that their maximum contribution canbe gained or they may handle higher position in the firm.” The main objective behind providingthis is to improve the performance level of existing employees so that organisation can meet withthe future requirements (Carkhuff, 2017). According to Kuhn, (2017) “In Nestle training programmes are provided for improvingpersonal performance of the individuals so that desired objectives can be achieved within a pre-determined time period. HR department conduct training and development programmes on theregular basis so that competitive advantage of firm can be maintained in the marketplace (Kuhn,2015).Establish Gap – Nestle is known as one of the most leading food and beverage companyalong with an experience of 135 years firm is providing its products and services across theworld. The company has made its presence in all over the world and various employees withdifferent culture are working within the firm therefore, chances of conflicts are higher among the

workers which can be eliminated through improving training and development programmes. Asthe management of organisation wants to gain competitive advantage and sustainability in themarketplace therefore, they needs to improve their training,selection and recruitment methods sothat future requirements of business can be fulfilled in easy manner (Morshed, 2016). TASK 1P1Project aims and objectivesBackground of the research In a market, every organisation wants to enhance the profitability and productivity so thatcompetitive advantage can be gained for a long time period. For this, all the firms invests a hugeamount for training and development of their employees so that they can easily meet with thefuture requirement. Nestle is a transnational firm which provides its services in food andbeverage sector along with based in Voidd, Switzerland. It offers various products like babyfood, cerelacs, tea, coffee etc. in across the world. In current scenario, company is performing itsduties or functions in most of the nations so that it is very important for the management ofNestle to improve the training, selection and recruitment methods therefore, requirement ofinternational level can be fulfilled in effective manner (ajda, 2015).Purpose of the Research - Purpose of conducting this research programme is to determine theways through which recruitment, selection or training methods can be improved which will behelpful for the firm in meeting with the international requirements. It will also assist theresearcher to identifying the tools or techniques which can be used for executing the researchprogramme. Hence, it can be said that this research will be helpful for the both researcher andorganisation.Aim: “How do multinational companies improve the recruitment, selection and training of theiremployees to meet International requirements” .A case study on Nestle.Objectives:To acquire the knowledge of recruitment, selection and training.To analyse the importance of recruitment, selection and training process so as to meetinternational requirements.To determine the ways through which the recruitment, selection or training process ofNestle can be improved.

Various essential aspectslike cost, time or scope of this plan are explained as under:Cost – Management of Nestle have estimated amount of 60000 pound in which 20000 forimproving each process. Company have decided to use online aptitude test for improving therecruitment process, psychometric test for selection and brain map for improving the trainingprocess. Whereas, researcher has demanded an amount of 12000 for executing the researchprogramme (Carayannis, 2015).Scope: Through using online aptitude test, psychometric test and brain map organisationwill be able in hiring skilled or experienced candidates which will be helpful for the managementof nestle in meeting with the international requirements. With the help of these methods,employees of the organisation will easily handle the situations and chances of conflicts from theworkplace will be reduced. Therefore, it can be said that scope of improving the training,selection or recruitment process is very wide in nature. Quality:During execution of project activities, It is very necessary for measuring thequality of tools and technique so that the research programme can be carried out in effectivemanner. When researcher will use qualitative methods then chances of valid conclusion will behigher. Psychometric, brain map or online aptitude test will also helpful for the managers ofNestle in improving the quality of training, recruitment or selection methods.Communication: It is very essential aspect of project management plan because withoutit execution of project is impossible.
