INTRODUCTION
Project management is process to achieve set goals of management within particular
period of time. It is responsibility of management to managing the successful business project for
bring the valuable outcomes. The project manager should measure all aspects included in
functioning of business. Nestle is multinational food and drink processing corporation that
headquartered in Switzerland. This is biggest organisation in world measures through revenues
as well as other metrics (Briscoe, Tarique and Schuler, 2012). This present report covers small-
scale research through applying the quantitative and qualitative research methods in order to
meeting aims and objectives of project will be discuss.

P1 Project aims and objectives
Globalisation is explained as procedure through which organisation influence
international market through expansing business operations in various nations. It is an integration
of people, nation as well as government in various countries through global trade through using
information technology. It forces company to make the suitable chances in business process to
make the business in successful manner globally. In this, globalisation impact on the business
function in extensive and the pervasive nature (Budhwar and Debrah, 2013). When multinational
companies conduct their business at global level then they uses the better recruitment and
selection techniques so that the employees can meet with international needs and able to deal
with the global clients.
Background of Project
Globalisation is a developing interdependence of population, economies and culture that
brought through cross- border in services and products, investment flow, people, technology and
information. Nestle is multinational food and drink processing conglomerate corporation. In was
founded in year 1866 through Henry Nestle. This company has global presence and provides
bottled water, coffee, medical food, baby food etc. Nestle has gained the world- class
recognition. It uses internal as well as external both sources of recruitment. On the other hand,
this organisation provides the training to its employees for enhance their knowledge and core
competencies so that they can able to connect with global consumers and making business
successful globally (DeCenzo, Robbins and Verhulst, 2016).

Globalisation concept
As per the opinion of BEVERLY BIRD AND CAROL KOPP (2019) Globalisation is
explained as ways the people and people of world integrate and interact. It is an integration of the
markets in global economy and leading to enhanced interconnectness of the national economies.
It is spread of technology, products and information across the culture and national borders. The
globalisation is multi- dimensional process that is characterised through acceptance of set of the
economic rules for design to increase productivity level. On the other hand, it can obtain support
of state with view for making national economy as well as competitive. On the other hand,
globalisation permits the countries and also businesses to specialise in manufacturing services
and products where they can gain the comparative benefit, trade helps in gain the economic
welfare. It implies opening of the nationalistic and local perspectives to wider outlook of
interdependence work with the free transfer of services and products across the national frontiers.
Concept of recruitment, selection and training
According to opinion of Jill Harness (2019) Recruitment, selection and training are the
most necessary concept of human resource management. They plays a necessary role in

enhancing productivity of business. The recruitment, selection and training bring the human
resource and company together.
Recruitment- It is explained as process of determining the requirements of company to
employ a person on vacant job position. It is continuous process through an organisation
attempts to create pool of the qualified applicants for requirements of future human resources
thought particular vacancies.
Selection- It is a procedure of putting a right person on the right job. It is process of
matching needs of company with qualification and skills of the people. The selection is related to
selecting people which are qualified to fill the jobs in company. Selection of right applicant for
the vacant job position will be asset to company that will be helpful a firm in reach at specific
objectives.
Training- It is defined as process of giving the necessary skills to staff members so that
they can able to perform the job in an effective manner. Provide training to staff members is not
continuous but given in the particular time period. With the help of provide training, company
can able to enhance the performance level of employees along with productivity of business.
Different sources to recruitment and selection used by Nestle company
On the basis of Smriti Chand (2019) internal and external are two different sources of
recruitment and selection. Different sources which Nestle used given below:
Internal sources
Promotions- It means to provide high status, responsibility position to staff members.
Vacancy can be filled through promoting better candidate from similar company.
Transfers- It means change in employment place without any kind of change in salary
and responsibility of person. In this, vacancy can be filled through transferring suitable candidate
from similar company.
External sources
Advertisement- It is one of the better recruitment method that is used for the skilled
employees and high staff. It can be provided in professional journals and newspapers. In this
advertisement is helpful in attract the large number of people.
Campus interviews- It is an effective method for Nestle to choose students from different
educational institutions. It is economical and easier method. In this, students can get the effective
opportunities to prove and also chosen for better job role.

According to viewpoint of Nikoletta Bika (2019) it has been stated that company needs to
make improvement in recruitment, selection and training of employees so that they can able to
meet with the global requirements. Through this, they can sable to deal with the international
consumers and resolve their query in an effective manner. There are some ways through which
multinational firms can improving in recruitment, selection and also training of employees:
Online platforms- Under this, multinational companies can use to online platforms or job
portals to search the capable candidates for vacant job position. It is helpful in enhancing
productivity and profitability of business.
Internal recruitment methods- Internal recruitment is method of determining as well as
attracting the job candidates within company. The internal recruitment methods are referrals,
promotions, transfer etc. Through identifying the capabilities and knowledge of employees,
multinational company fill the vacant job positions internally.
P2 Project management plan
Project management plan is explained as approved and formal document that guide
project control and execution. Project management plan is developed through project manager by
following inputs from key stakeholders and project team (Humphries, 2017). Different aspects
which covered in project management plan are mention below:
Scope Scope of this project is that it aids in increasing the knowledge as
well as skill of learner so that it can able to conduct the research
activities in an effective manner. This given project aids in
providing the explanation related to particular subject. The main
limitation of this research is that it takes more time to complete
because there can be many complexities while conducting business.
In this research going to cover about multinational companies
improve the recruitment, selection and training of their employees
to meet International requirements.

the project in a better manner. Without money, project can not be
completed in a better manner. In conducting the project, there will

activities on the basis of set time period so that employees can
focus on achieving them effectively. It is important to finish project

Quality This plays an important role in project management. The quality of
project should be high for getting the positive outcomes. In order to

standards. The quality of project will be good when it will provide
the positive outcomes. Reliability of project is related to probability
that provided project will be perform in a way to perform in efforts

Communication It outlines that the project will be communicated to different
audiences. There should be the proper explanation of
communication system and project performance documentation
that will be gives to different stakeholders. In order to
communicate with the stakeholders about project, then
management of Nestle will use Emails. For present the findings as
well as recommendations, researcher will use the power point and
emails.
Risk and resources In performing the plan, the risk involved in completing the project
within time is technology and finance. It is necessary to manage all
these risks for better completion of project. On the other hand, for
manage the project, there is a need to arrange some resources such
as technological, manpower and financial (Lakhani, Kuruvilla and
Avgar, 2013).
P3 Work breakdown structure and a Gantt chart
Work breakdown structure- It is defined as deliverable oriented project breakdown in to
the small components. This is key project deliverable that help in organise the team work in to
manageable sections. It is one of effective way to divide the large projects in to small for
completion of work quickly (Tuohy and et. al., 2013). The Work breakdown structure aids in
divide all the deliverables in to sub- deliverables until they are effectively managed and
completed in quick manner. On the other hand, it helps employees to work in a better manner
without facing any issues. Project management has to plan for schedule, fixed costs and also
