INTRODUCTION
To gain competitive advantages in cut throat competitive world it is very important to
adopt diverse culture in the workplace. By doing so more and more innovative ideas is generate
from distinguish background of people (Al-Jenaibi, 2017). In today's era everyone is framing
strategies to build equality and diversity in workplace so that tough competition can be created
for others. In to order to survive for longer time duration it is the most essential element. In order
to complete this report Tesco is selected. It is general merchandise retailer store whose
headquarter is in Welwyn garden City, United Kingdom. This successful company came into
existence in the year 19119 by Jack Cohen. This organization is serving it's product and services
across Thailand, Malaysia, Hungary, Poland and so on. The product served by Teso is
supermarket, Hypermarket, superstore and convenience shop. There are numerous subsidiaries
offered to the customers such as, Tesco banks, Tesco Ireland and so on. This assignment covers
aims and objectives of the project. Project management plan is prepared so that all resources can
be utilized properly. Enterprise is using Gantt Chart and work break down structure is studied in
order to make complex task simple in nature.
P1) Prepare aims and objectives
As the globalisation is increasing the composition of employees working at companies
are changing which means that employees belonging to different countries having different
culture, religion, language, experiences, expectations etc. are working in businesses. This brings
a need of promoting equality and diversity at the workplace so that equal opportunities are given
to all the employees which help in integrating the diverse workforce which helps the company in
maintaining a healthy working environment. It also helps the company to retain its employees
which increase its competitiveness in the market.
Project: A project is a series of activities which are carried out in a sequential manner so that the
a specific outcome can be reached. A project gets completed by a team who are given specific
tasks which they have to complete within a specific time-frame and by using the available
resources.

more quickly. More stakeholders can be involved in planning the project by rewarding those

project. Project can be done more effectively with less cost with the help of primary data
collection method. By this authentic data can be collected from communicator with less
resources and fund. There are three types of research design which are, descriptive research
design, exploratory research design, and experimental research design. In order to make the
project process more simple and understandable for all project member descriptive research
design is adopted. This is because it is associated with describing problems and it's solution. This
is more specific study. On the other hand descriptive study rests on one more hypotheses.

I am highly thankful that I have given the opportunity to conduct research work on the
interesting topic which is “To analysis strategies through which company can overcome impact
of diversity within workplace” A study report on Tesco. While being the part of this project It
has uplifted my knowledge regarding how company can overcome impact of diversity within
workplace. To a large extent this project assisted me to achieve the project's objectives. The set
aims and objectives has ninety percently achieved project objectives. Project objectives is
achieved in the set time span with help of work break down structure and Gantt Chart. This has
helped me to arrange all the activities in the systematic manner and accordingly all the required
resources time and money was arranged easily. By arranging the set activities in appropriate
manner work get completed easily. Yes, it was worth to spend the time, resources and money .
The gathered data has raised my knowledge as well as I was aware regarding equity and diversity
issues occurred by them in the workplace. I learned many innovative things about planning a
project such as, making the list of resources like, number of printers, mobile phones etc.
required during the completion of project, estimating budget, mode of transportation and
categorizing task according to team members skills and abilities. I learned many things about
running a project appropriately such as, arranging the set activities based on the priority level,
using the limited resources in effective manner and in short time duration collecting relevant data
from the respondents. All this has directly or indirectly helped to attain set goals and objectives
smoothly in the set deadline. However, while conducting the research work I discovered many
skills such as, analytical skills, decision-making skills, research skills and so on. All this skills
helped me in each and every step to accomplish the task properly in the set time frame. But I lack
behind in certain skills which are, data collection skills and problem solving skills etc. which has
consumed lot of time while completing the report (’SULLIVAN and KEARNEY, 2018).

Yes, the project succeed in its aims which is known by me by using different methods such as

I think my communication skill is much better which helped my by collecting of data from the
respondents. This skill also helped me in evaluation of each research activities such as selection of aim,
research methodology, data collection, conclusion and recommendation.
