Quantitative research termed out as to carry out systematic investigation with use of statistical
and mathematical techniques (Arnold and et.al., 2018). Thus, quantitative information can be
gathered with use if SPSS, statistical data etc. To undertake present research study, researcher
has used qualitative approach to collect the information based on topic. In this research project,
the questionnaire structured will be undertaken so that framing of the questionnaire the depth
analysis of the research can be conducted.
Research approach- It is termed out as plan and procedure that is inclusive of broad assumption
to detailed method of data collection, interpretation and analysis. This is mainly based on nature
of the research and problem that being addressed to carry out specific research study. Thus,
research approach is classified as inductive and deductive mode.
Henceforth, inductive approach defined as process that starts with observation and
theories that is relate with end of process of research. Thus, this is mainly relates with creation of
new theory that emerges from the data (Spracklen, Hylton and Long, 2006). However, deductive
approach is mainly related to developing the hypothesis that based on existing theory and to
design out the research plan of action to test hypothesis of research. To undertake the present
research effectively, the researcher has used inductive approach to generate information from
emergence data.
Research philosophy- This is defined as belied with help of which data phenomenon can be
gathered, analysed and used. It mainly deals with source, nature and development of information
relate with topic of research. Hence, philosophies to research categorised as ontology
epistemology and axiology.
Additionally, epistemology classified as interpretivism and positivism techniques. The
main aim is to know that what is known to be true and how it encompasses the various
philosophies of research. Hence, positivism termed out as to address the factual information that
achieved with help of observation. Thus, interpretivism philosophy defined as to interpret the
elements of study by integrating human interests into study. To undertake research study
researcher has used interpretivism techniques to gather out the information effectively.

information (Fish, 2010). This is referred as overall strategy that needs to be selected to integrate
the differ components of the study. Henceforth, research strategy is classified into the categories
as experiments, survey, case studies, action research and descriptive study etc.
To undertake the present research study effectively, researcher has used descriptive
method as this aids to collect depth information to research topic. With help of it, reliable data
can be gathered in brief manner.
Data collection- It is defined as process that aids to gather the information with use of
systematic techniques. It enables to carry out the investigation with use of stated research
questions, hypothesis and outcomes to research will be evaluated. Thus, it can be stated that
effective and systematic data collection is very crucial to maintain the accuracy and integrity of
research.. Henceforth, data collection classified into categories as primary and secondary. In
order to collect the research, the researcher has used primary approach, this is effective in term to
collected first hand information with use of questionnaire, interview techniques. On the hand,
secondary information can be gather with use of books, newspapers, journals articles and
magazines etc.
For collecting the primary data in this study a questionnaire is used and data is collected
by asking questions from the sample participants. There are several advantages of interviews
such as they are helpful in analysing the detailed information about the perspective and feelings
of individuals associated with the study. It helps to achieve higher response rate and to make
research data more effective and informative.
Sampling- This is defined as process that mainly used in statistical analysis in which
predetermined observation will be collected on the basis of large number of population. It is
termed out as statistical technique that is mainly concerned with selection of individual
observation. Therefore, sampling is classified as simple random, stratified, systematic, multistage
and cluster etc.
However, the researcher has used simple random technique, with use of sampling size as
40 respondents as employees of Sainsbury’s. Thus, research will use non- probabilistic approach
with use of sample random technique.
Ethical consideration- This can be defined as one of the most crucial part of research and this
play one of effective role to maintain the integrity of research. It aids to ensure that any data
the differ components of the study. Henceforth, research strategy is classified into the categories
as experiments, survey, case studies, action research and descriptive study etc.
