Apart from this work break down structure and Gantt chart are also being explained in this assignment along with the aims and objective of project. Further research analysis is also being done along with recommendation and reflection. TASK 1 P1 Project aims and objectives Back ground of the research: In order to accomplish a successful growth in the formof increase in market shareand in the form of strong position in international marketa firm needs to improve its recruitment, selection and training process so that an organisation can have skilled workforce who can result in achieve the aims and objectives of an organisation.Nestle which is aSwiss transactional food and drink organisation with its headquarter in Switzerland. In addition to this deals in many products like medical food, baby food, breakfast cereals, tea, coffee etc. Moreover, it supplies its goods and services across many nations so in order to achieve successful growth management of Nestle needs to improve its recruitment, selection and training process in an effective manner (Fisher, 2011). Purpose of research: Main purpose of this research is to acknowledge the ways through which Nestle can improveitsrecruitment, selectionandtrainingprocesssoastomeettheinternational requirements. In addition to this it will help resesrch to accknowledge the various tools and 1
techniques that will be used to carry out research. Thus, it will help researcherachieve a successful growth in the from of personnel and professional level (Hillson, 2017). Aims: “To examine how multinational companies can improve the recruitment, selection and training of employees to meet international requirements”. Objectives: To understand the basic concept of recruitment, selection and training. To analyse the importance of recruitment, selection and training process so as to meet international requirements. To analyse the ways with the help of which Nestle can improve the recruitment, selection and training process. Literature review This is a scholar paper that assist researchers in gathering of data for the research topic. In it, questions and objectives are considered which can be defined as under: Concept of Recruitment and Selection According toMhamed, (2012).“ recruitment is a process by which a firm attracts, hires or selects the right persons for the right job.” furthermore, this is the procedure of finding candidates and encouraging them for applying the vacant positions of firm. Apart from that, Selection is a process in which management of organisation have to select those persons who are fulfilling the requirements of organisation. In addition to this, in this method two personality comes together in which one is called job seeker and other one is known as job employer. This is a positive process from which organisation attracts an ample number of candidates for the vacant positions of firm so that management can chose right one for running their functions.” As per views ofFisher, (2011). “Recruitment and selection process are known as one of the most important duty of Human resource department that have to adhere by them for enhancing the strength of employees who are performing their services in their organisation so that desired goals will be achieved in a preset time-frame. Furthermore, this process consists of sourcing, screening and short-listing of candidates so that right applicants will be selected for filling the vacant positions of firm. According toPryke, (2012). “Scope of recruitment and selection process is very wide in nature. Human resource are determined as the valuable asset of each organisation.” therefore, it can be said that hiring and selecting of right employees can be considered as the precious resource in the organisation which is rare in nature and their strength and skills can't be copied by anyone. Whereas, Human resource are rare and valuable asset of each organisation because without their efforts company can't gain growth or success in marketplace. Therefore, it has been identified that scope of this process is very wide and always support the organisation in employing better candidates. Improvement in recruitment and selection Methods According toSilvius, (2014).“ Each firm which exist in the market wants to gain growth and sustainability so that it is very important for the HR managers of Nestle to formulate effective plans and strategies for hiring or recruiting right persons for the vacant job positions. Various things like well defined job posting, Effective utilisation of HR technologies etc. should be considered by the employers so that procedure of recruitment and selection would be improved in easy manner. When the job posting would be done by the HR department in effective manner then it would form good perception of company in the mindset of job seekers which would leads organisation towards recruiting right candidates for the vacant job positions of organisation. Whereas, effective utilisation of HR technologies can also provide beneficial outcomes in improvement of recruitment and selection process because with the help of it, time and cost of organisation will be saved that can be used by the managers in operating other functions. P2Project management plan Effective project management plan generally includes certain aspect like cost, time, scope, resources, communication, time etc. Thus, a project manager of Nestle must take as these aspect into consideration so as to develop, and implement effective project management plan and they are explained below (Hung and et. al., 2012): Cost: In order to exist in market for long period of time it is essential for the first to ensure that there is sufficient availability of funds as it will be required in every steps of project plan. So the cost that is being estimated by the management of Nestle is approx 39000 pounds that will be 3
required to carry out effective project. Whereas a researcher estimated that there will be requirement of approx 300 pound for carrying out effective research method. Time: As this is the essential aspect which also needs to be considered by the management of firm so that each task can be carried out accordingly in an effective manner. For completing every task a time period is required to be set (Lambert and Enz, 2012). Thus, the estimated time period that is being considered by the Nestle to complete the project is approx 26 weeks. Whereas a researcher has estimated time period of approx 6 weeks. Quality: In order to achieve a successfulgrowth in the form of market share and to meet international requirements it is essential for the firm to maintain the quality of its product and for this management of Nestle must ensure that they do make improvement in recruitment, selection and training process. As efficient skilled labour will help in meeting international requirements. Where a researcher should ensure thatproper use of tools and techniques like qualitative methods, primary data collection method is being maintained so as to come up with better quality of research. Scope: The scope of Nestle firm term to be wider as the firm operate at international level so it is essential for organisation to to improve its recruitment, selection and training process. Thus it will help business to achieve its aim that is to meet international requirements (Mhamed, 2012). Whereas for researcher scope is term to be broader enough as it will help a researcher to gain knowledge of various techniques and tools and different research method, which will help researcher to carry out further research appropriately and in developing at personnel and professional level. Communication: It is another important aspect in a project management plan. Communication tools will benefits the project manager in NESTLE to interact with other team members in an appropriate manner., in case of company, potential communication tools are voice call, video conferencing, emails etc. form researchers perspective, communication tools will be SMS, emails, face to face interactions and telephonic conversations. Resources: 4
These are those materials which will benefits the project team of Nestle to perform project activities and operations in a desired manner. In case of company, main resources will be technology, human resource, financial resources, funds, investment, raw material etc. for researcher's point of view, potential resources will be internet, capital, books, journals etc. this will benefits the researcher in considering research in a desired manner. Risk: It is another essential aspect which must be considered while making an effective project plan. For Nestle company risk can take place in the form of lack of funds, technology and resources which are very much essential for effective recruitment, selection and training process. So manager of the firm should make sure there there exist sufficient availability of resources in order to carry out effective selection, recruitment and training process. Whereas for a researcher risk can take place in the from of shortage of time. Lack of resources like books, magazines, reports etc. so before making effective project plan a researchershould make sure that that the time for carrying out effective research is sufficient enough and as well as should make sure that resources like books, journals etc. are being properly utilised to carry out effective research. P3Work break down structure and Gantt chart Work break down structure: It is the structure in which the work is being break down into manageable chunks. This structure is being prepared by the manager of Nestle so as to get complex multi-step project done. In addition to this it can be said that it is hierarchicaltree structure which outlines the project and breaks down into manageable and smaller portions. Overall goal of this structure is that it makes a large project more manageable and easier and helps in completing the task effectively and efficiently (Morris and Geraldi, 20114). 5

Gantt chart: It is defined as a visual views of tasks schedule over time.It is used for planning of different sizes projects as well as helpful for showing what work is to be scheduled on a specific day. Thus, this chart is also being prepared by a researcher as it help to view the start and end date of a project in one simple view (oserup, Tan and Toulmin, 2013). 6
TASK 2 P4 Research analysis In order to carry out effective project plan a researchcan make use of various research methods like qualitative, quantitative, primary and secondary which are explained below: Qualitative research method: It is a type of exploration research methodwith the help of which a research acquire knowledge, skillsand opinionsaboutthe specifictopic.Thismethodsmainlyincludes observation, interviews, focus group etc. with the help of which a researcher get theoretical explanation about the topic (Pryke and Smyth, 2012). Quantitative research method: In this research method data are being collected through observation, surveys, direct interviews so as to draw valid solution of the issues with the help of statistical and mathematical dataanalysistechniques.Inotherworditcanbesaidthatitemphasizesonobjective measurementthroughnumerical, statistical, mathematicalanalysis with the help of polls, questionnaires and surveys or by manipulating the pre-existing statistical information using computational techniques and tools (Pulina and Timpanaro, 2012). Inthisreport, bothqualitativeandquantitativeresearchmethodareused. With considering both methods, researcher is able to provide relevant outcome as recommendations and conclusion. With collecting information with qualitative and quantitative methods, it is easy to analyse them and taking actions with consideration of external market. There is use of 7
complete and specific information because this is the base for conclusion and recommendations hence both methods are preferable. Primary research method: It is defined as a proprietary research method in which the information is collected by the researcher directly from he research subject. Moreover, it can be said that it is type of pinpointed research which is generally being carried out only for specific problems it issues and all the focus is directed in obtaining the related solutions. Thus a researcher uses this method in order to collect the value and accurate data about the project plan (Reich, Gemino and Sauer, 2014). Secondary research method: It is a type of research method in which the data is being gathered with the help of primary research tools and techniques like with the help of government report, published books, journals, etc. Thus, the researcher takes into consideration qualitative research method and primary data collection methods with the help of questionnaire. As it the process of collection the viewpoints of peoples by rendering them a set of questionnaire which includes several question along with certain option and the peoples needs to just tick the right option of the question. Whereas a researcher takes into consideration 40 respondent and they are employees and customers of company has been takes as a sample size from whole population in order to get an idea of what the whole population thinks about. Questionnaire Name: email-id: Phone no: Address: 1) Do you possess basic knowledge about the concept of recruitment, selection and training process? P6 Recommendation Findings-Ithasbeenanalysedfromtheabovequestionnaireofqualitativeand quantitative methods that most of the respondents are highly aware regarding the recruitment selection and training methods. Apart from that, these methods can prove beneficial for the Nestle because it will assist them in meeting with the international requirements. The chosen method for this research is written so as to communicating results and data analysis to the managers of organisation. Main reason behind selecting this method is that, it provides efficient results in a shorter time period and also saves the cost of researcher. Whereas, from quantitative research method it has been identified that company can gain beneficial outcomes by improving training, selection and training methods like allotted task should be completed in well manner, new ideas will be gained from recruited employees which leads the organisation towards competitive advantage etc. Training is also important because with the help of it organisation can easily meet with the requirement of global level. Some barriers like availability of funds, ineffective plans and strategies should be considered by the management which can become threat for the organisation while performing functions at international level. As the aims and objectives of the project plan has been achieved after carrying out research on the topic how do multinational companies improve the recruitment, selection and training of their employee to meet international requirement. But after analysis it is being identified that certain recommendation need to be give so that Nestle can best improve its recruitment, selection and training process (Silvius and Schipper, 2014).
