TASK 2
P4 Carry out small-scale research by applying qualitative and quantitative research methods.
While conducting a research, it is necessary to work on a research according to the
research methodologies so that the research get completed in effective time frame. The use of
accurate methodologies leads the investigator to manage all the gathered data in an ordered
manner ( Lin and Chen, 2012) . In context with the research methodological analysis, there are
two methodologies which are mentioned as below -
Qualitative : In this methodologies, the investigator collect and gathered data in
theoretical manner and it is a scientific method of observation to collect non numerical
information. With in research method, data can be collect through online portal, government
websites, books, magazines, government agencies and others modes. It is not pure data because it
has been already used by other people. The investigator is going to use that data which is already
gathered by someone else, and by using their thesis this research project will be completed
( Jones and Lubinski, 2012). It is important and appropriate because it provide an in depth
understanding of the ways people come to understand, act and manage their day to day situations
in specific settings.
Quantitative : This is the methodologies in which investigation is done by using statistical,
numerical and mathematical techniques. This is used to create and show different theories,

Quantitative : This is the methodologies in which investigation is done by using statistical,
numerical and mathematical techniques. This is used to create and show different theories,
hypothesis and models. The researcher in this collect and gathered the data and information by
using the sources like surveys, questionnaires focused groups, etc. In this the investigator deliver
the numerical data by making graph and using mathematical formulas, so that the client get the
information in an authentic manner ( Kankaanranta and Planken, 2010) .
Therefore, in context with this research, the investigator is going to use the Qualitative
research methodology for accomplishing the results. This method is also used to ascertain the
findings on the basis of human conceptualization and also this method helps to complete this
research in given and less time and in very low cost.
Data Collection – This is the process of collecting and gathering the data from different
sources to get an exact and relevant information on the specific topic. This will help the
investigator to assemble the accurate information in the given time and in very cheap cost.1. Primary Research : This is the method in which the researcher is the first one to gather
the information and data on the specific topic or subject, from this the investigator has the
benefit of getting the fresh data from different sources such as interview, questionnaire,
surveys, etc. This method id not dependent on the thesis of earlier researcher, in this there
is depth analysis to find the accurate information ( Difference Between Primary and
Secondary Data, 2019) . This method is the easiest to make better evaluation and help
the investigator to end the research by attaining the desired outcomes. In this, researcher
has used questionnaire for collecting the data from different respondents.
2. Secondary Research : This is the method of data collection in which the data is collected
from the public sources on which the information is already gathered by the individual on
the similar topic. These types of information is available on the sources like newspaper,
online websites, books, etc. This method is very cost efficient and saves a lot of time of
the investigator ( Lai and Ong, 2010) . This method also has a drawback that the
information which bis used is not fresh and is assembled by someone else. In this, the
data collection method used by them are books, articles and online websites.
Hence, to complete the research in very less time and in very cheap cost, the investigator
will choose the secondary method to conduct this research.
In this research project, the researcher can used quantitative research method and primary
method of data collections so that the individual can collect first hand appropriate information to

In this research project, the researcher can used quantitative research method and primary

gather required information to complete the research project. In this research project, the
researcher used sample size of 20 people to collet in formation with the help of questionnaire.

are related to the specific topic on which the research is conducted. These questions consists of
four options from which the respondents answer their opinions and give appropriate and the
answer which is suitable to the questions. This is prepared to get the information from different

P7 Reflect on the value of undertaking the research to meet stated objectives
Going through this research, I faced many problems by which I get demotivated and
this affected my working capacity and apart from that I have also learned from many things
which can be helpful for me in conducting any research in future. Firstly I analysed the aim
and objectives of the company Nestle and then I gone through the project plan in which I
examine that how much in need to complete this research and what resources are needed by
the company and by me to attain the aim. Along with this, I found and provided the
information of various skilled candidates who were interested in doing job in Nestle, which
can also be helpful in future. Along with this, the issues which are faced by me in
conducting this research project was firstly my communication skills, on which I think I
have to work more so that this can't be faced by me in future ahead. My communication of
interacting with huge respondents was not so clear that the people understand that, that's

estimated by me in conducting this research was not satisfactory. In addition with this, the
research methods and methodologies are successfully implemented by me to collect and
assemble the accurate information to attain the aims and objectives. Also, the time allotted
to me for completing the research was not sufficient, as this make issues for me in collecting
the data which is appropriate according to this. And also with time, cost provided to me was
also very less, as this all poses huge problem for me in collecting authenticated data.
