INTRODUCTION
Globalisation is the elaboration of products, technology, information and employment in
all over the world. Globalisation is the process of expanding the business and maximising the
profits for gaining the attention of more customers at global scale. This is beneficial for both
large and small-scale organisations. This can be beneficial in expanding the business in foreign
country for gaining more profits. Globalisation is the process of describing how the people
communicate and get interacted with other individuals. The present report is all about NESTLE,
which is a Swiss transactional food and drink company which was founded in 1866 in Vevey,
Switzerland by the founder Henri Nestle (Ahmed Dine Rabeh, Jimenez-Jimenez and Martínez-
Costa, 2013) . This is one of the largest food company all around the world, which is measured
by revenues with other metrics. In context with the present scenario, the policy of nestle deals
with recruitment, training and development, remuneration. The company wants to improve their
recruitment and selection methods to recruit the number of applicants for expanding the business
in international market. The company is not aware about the recruitment process of various
countries, so they want to conduct an research for the MNC companies to improve their
recruitment and training their employees in global market (Crane and Matten, 2016) . This
research project will focuses on the aims and objectives, along with the effective project
management plan, Work breakdown structure and Gantt chart. In addition with this, the
recommendation and reflection part along with deep analysis is done in this project.
TASK 1
P1 Devise project aims and objectives for a chosen scenario
Globalisation helps the companies to gain the benefit of competitive advantage in
various countries. This is the process by which the organisations establish international
influence or begin to operate and run their business at international or global scale. With the
concept of globalisation many things became globalized as this describes how people
interact which each other and come into contact. In context with IMF, globalisation is the

process of growing economic mutuality of countries worldwide through exploding volume
and variety of cross border transactions in products and services. Globalisation enhances the
peoples involvement with other in various social groups (Den Hertog, Van der Aa and De
Jong, 2010) . Through globalisation, the unity arises among citizens using common goals
and awareness. Globalisation gives ability to move and interact or communicate easily with
others in the economy in order to enhance the business internationally. Nestle is one of the
largest food brand, propounded in Vevey, Switzerland. It is famed as the food company in
the economy. Bottled water, medical and baby food, dairy and snacks products along with
tea and coffee are the products which are offered by the company Nestle. The company
makes some policies in respect of recruitment and training of employers in order to gain
more profits and to enhance its productivity. Recruitment and selection process should be
learned and improved in effective manner, as this will be helpful in recruiting the applicants.
The recruitment method should be done cautiously so that the right candidate should be
appoint for the right job.
Background of the research
Nestle is the company of food sector defined by the fusion of Anglo-Swiss Milk firm
and Farine Lactee Henri Nestle in the year 1905. Nestle is providing their products at global
scale, so it is important to maintain the goodwill of the company in front of too many group
of peoples so that the growth of the business can be increased and the productivity of the
company Nestle can be enhanced. In context with Nestle, this is a largest food company
with huge profits but on the other hand, it is facing many issues regarding the recruitment
and training of employees at international scale. Recruitment is the process of hiring the
suitable candidate for the job, this is crucial for an organisation as this provide the right
individual for the right position. For improving the recruitment process and training and
development programme for the workers, the management of Nestle has conducted a
research in context to recruit and trained their employees at global scale (Eckerson, 2010) .
So for this, the investigator has made the aims and objectives, which are outlined as below -
Aim : “To ascertain the influence of globalisation on recruitment, selection and training”
Objectives :
To understand the concept of Globalisation.
To measure various methods of recruitment and selection at global scale.

To determine number of ways through which the recruitment, selection and training of
workers can be modify in global market. To examine the importance of recruitment, selection and training of workers for
enhancing the growth of Nestle.

Describe the number of ways which can be used to modify the recruitment and
selection, training of employees at global market?
How recruitment, selection and training of workers can be beneficial in growing the
growth of Nestle?
P2 Produce a project management plan
A project management plan refers to the formal paper which consists of different
components such as scope, cost, resources, risk, etc. These are used by the project manager to
manage and implement the project and maximize the profits for long term. The various tool
which are used by the Nestle company are as follows -
1. Cost : It refer to that amount which is required to purchase any goods and services and
invest within a work. For the completion of this research project the research is also
required some fund. The cost which is estimated by the investigator to conduct this
research is about 400 pounds.
2. Scope : This research will researcher in future, as this help them in increasing skills and
knowledge related to this topic. This will ease the work done in future if they again so
research on same topic or related topic. Along with this, it will an investigator in saving
time and also provide appropriate information in future (Gebauer, Edvardsson and
Bjurko, 2010).
3. Time : The time of the project is depend on the features of the current project, therefore
time taken to complete this research is around 3 weeks and 3-4 days approximately, on
the other hand the project will be complete in around 23 days (1 months).
4. Quality : The quality must be good whether it is product or the services. It is very much
important for researcher to maintain the quality of their research, so that they can provide
appropriate output to reader.

5. Communication : For researcher, it is very much important to for them to make proper
communication with their respondents, so that they can gain proper results and findings
of it. For making communication to gather information to complete research project, the
researcher required different sources of communication like, email, message, phone calls
and others.
6. Risk : The risk which is associated with researcher while completing this research was
that, the collected data do not get wrong or unauthenticated. There are high risk because
the data which is collected through qualitative and secondary method some times not
correct. So it can be risky to use it because it will not provide appropriate and required
information.
7. Resources : The resources used by researcher for completing the research are books,
articles, online websites and other. In this research project, there are various resources are
required to the researcher like fund, time, data collection method and others.
P3 Produce a work breakdown structure and a Gantt chart
Gantt Chart – This is type of bar chart in which different activities of a specific field is
included, and this chart shows that on which time, each activity is to be performed and in how
much duration it will going to be completed. This chart is handle by the manager of the project
which track the performance of the individual and the report of the overall project. This chart is
not bind for a particular field, this can be used in any area.
