Title:How do multinational companies improve the recruitment, selection and training of their employees to meet International requirements. INTRODUCTION Globalization is a procedure which integrates regional and national societies, economies and culture in a unified manner with the help of global trade. It describes the interlink among various parts of world due to which expansion in international trade and economic activities takes place. Project management is a practice which plan, initiate, formulate, control, execute the work of a project in a systematic manner. This will benefit the company in achieving desired outcomes in a specific time period. Managing a project in a proper way is a complex procedure and require focus on aspects like time, cost, scope etc. This report is based on Nestle which is a Swiss food and drink organisation, situated in Vaud, Switzerland. It will cover objectives and aims of company and a project management plan. Also, Gantt chart and work breakdown structure will be prepared. Data analysis and research is done and in accordance with that valid recommendations and conclusion will be provided. TASK 1 P1Project aims and objectives Background of the research Every company want to hold a strong position in local, regional and foreign market that will help them in achieving their desired goals in a proper manner. To achieve these goals and objectives, updated technology and sufficient amount of funds are requiredso that all the work can be performed in an efficient manner. To satisfy international demand, an organisation is needed to improve its recruiting, selecting and training process. It will benefit the company in working appropriately in complex and changing situations. NESTLE is a transnational company dealing in food and drinks sector. Company is situated in Vaud, Switzerland. It is the largest company around globe in terms of revenues. Company provides confectionery, snacks, breakfast, pet food etc. in context with present situation, company is operating worldwide. To sustain is strong presence in market, it is essential for company to hire and select suitable workforce that is able to manage business operations at global level. Purpose of the research
Main purpose to carry out this research is to identify the ways in which multinational organisation can improve their recruitment, selection and required training of employees. It will support the firm in enhancing the working productivity of workers that will benefits in achievement of organizational goals and procedures. Also, it will benefits NESTLE in attaining all international needs om an appropriate manner so that market shares of firm can enhance profitably. In accordance with researchers view point, this research will increase the professional and personal knowledge of researcher that will help them in conducting future researches. Time:To operate a project in a proper manner, sufficient time is needed. If estimates time will be less, then mismanagement of activities will take place. Estimated time for company to accomplish this project is 11 weeks. For researcher, estimated time is 7 weeks. Sufficient time will allow the team member of project to carry out each activity in an organised manner. Quality:It is another essential aspect which is associated with managing a project. While managing a project, quality is evaluated according to the techniques and tools that are used. If appropriate methods and techniques will be implemented, then required research
will also take place properly. In context with Nestle, effective training and regular discussions will help company in performing project activity. Communication:Without effective communication methods, it is complex for project members to interact and share information with each other. Ineffective communication and interaction can result in project failure. Resources:To manage business activities and operations in a proper way, sufficient resources are needed. For researcher, required resources will be money, books, internet, magazines etc. P3 Work breakdown structure and Gantt chart to provide time-frame Work break-down structure:WBS is a key project deliverable which organises and divides the work of project in different manageable parts. It specifies the project scope into small sections which are easily manageable and will get completed in a timely manner.
Gantt chart:This bar chart will define the project schedule in a systematic manner. This chart will describe all the project operations and activities in a graphical and timely manner. It is a popular chart which specifies the imitation and ending of project in an organised manner. This tool will properly examine, monitor and schedule the work project of Nestle. As per the above carried out research, some recommendations can be given to Nestle which are mentioned below: It is recommended to company that formulation of new plan and strategies related with recruitment will help them in performing hiring procedure in a transparent manner. This will help in selection of capable and efficient employees. Another recommendation is to invest high in training programs. This will benefit the workers to work efficiently in changing and hard situations. TASK 4 P7 Reflect on the value of undertaking research to achieve stated objectives and own learning & performance This research is carried out to identify the manner in which MNC’s can improve their recruitment, training and selection procedures that will help them in meeting all required international requirements. For this, I have randomly chosen 50 individuals and they will represent the opinion of total population. By this, required information will be gathered by me. While performing research activities, I faced some problems but then I overcome them. I faced shortage of time and money, to overcome money problem I take help of my parents and family. For time, I have prepared a time table. By this, I have completed research in a proper manner.
