Introduction
The backbone of this research report is to analyze the potential benefits and challenges
that can arise as a result of inclusion of artificial intelligence into a particular system. Artificial
Intelligence have been gaining a lot of importance in the recent years as the systems enabled with
artificial intelligence is able to perform tasks that requires human intelligence. This type of tasks
include visual perception, recognition of speech, decision making and transition between the
languages. Artificial Intelligence has a large impact on every aspect of society and has gradually
being integrated in daily work and social lives of individuals across the globe (Dawson 2016).
The research report is divided into a number of subsections for better analysis of the research
needs and for enforcing a better understanding of the research topic (Costley, Elliot and Gibbs
2010). The part one section of this report deals with the development of project management
plan that will provide the details of the background of the research along with the aims and
objectives identified for conducting a research in a legitimate manner. The project management
plan that is prepared for the project will further discuss the scheduling details and the actions that
are needed to be taken in order to ensure that the project that has been undertaken has been
completed in a successful manner (Nicholas and Steyn 2017). The next part of the report will
include a log book that will incorporate all the basic details of the project such as the tasks that
have been completed, changes implemented in the project, track and deadline set for the project
and the problems that are encountered while implementation of the project. The project log book
is an important element for tracking the project progress. Followed by that in part three of this
research report, a research is conducted to generate knowledge related to the scenario identified.
Following the research, the findings of the research will be evaluated in fourth part of the
research report. This part will form the base of the recommendations that will be communicated
to the expected audiences in the next part of research report. The final part of this research
report addresses the project success and evaluates a performance review that specifically
addressed the organizational performance and the performance of the research. The following
paragraphs evaluates the project management plan that is prepared for the research project
undertaken in the field of artificial intelligence.
Part 1: Project management Plan
1.1. Background
A project management plan is mainly described as a formal and approved document that
helps in efficient project execution (Lock, 2013). The project management plan helps in defining,
preparing and integrating the project planning activities so that the project can be implemented in
an efficient manner (Guay, Schreiber and Briones, 2016). The purpose of this project is to
perform a small scale research on artificial intelligence to comment on its benefits, challenges
and integration into a particular system.
An area of computer science focusing on the creation of human-like intelligent machines,
that has the capability of working like a human can be termed as artificial Intelligence. There are
huge benefits and advantages associated with artificial intelligence (Harrison and Lock 2017).
These benefits result in large scale adoption of artificial intelligence for business benefits
(Kerzner and Kerzner 2017). Artificial intelligence finds its application in supply chain, aviation,

marketing, finance and other (Heagney 2016). The research that has been undertaken will be
analyzing the concept of artificial intelligence and will evaluate the aims and objectives of the
research.
1.2. Project Aims and Objectives
1.2.1. Project Aim
A project has been undertaken in order to identify the probable benefits and the issues or
challenges related to the inclusion of artificial intelligence into a system. The aim of the research
is to identify the potential benefits and issues related to use of AI in a particular system. The
objectives identified for the project is highlighted in the section below-

The objectives identified for the research project are as follows-
 To select a topic for the research
 To identify the advantages and issues related to use of AI in the chosen area of
research
 To conduct a research on the chosen topic
 To provide recommendations based on the findings
1.3. Project Scope
The project is expected to be finished in the chosen time and within the budget set for the
project. Accordingly, a project plan will be developed which will help in easier management and
implementation of the project. The in-scope requirements identified for this project are as
follows-
 To schedule the project as per the research needs
 To conduct a small scale research on the chosen topic
 To analyze the findings based on the collected data
 To provide recommendations on the selected area of research
The above discussed points give an idea of the in scope requirements of the project.
1.4. Timeframe and Budget
The section of the project management plan will provide a proposed timeframe along
with the budget of the project that is undertaken. The schedule and the budget of the project is
