INTRODUCTION
Title : To identify the positive economic, culture and ethical impacts of globalisation on
different business functions- A case study based on Tesco.
Globalisation is a term used to describe how businesses, people, countries around the
world are becoming more interconnected. With the forces of transportation, technology, global
finance. Its all easy for the goods and services to cross traditional borders and boundaries.
Globalisation has provides both challenges and benefits to the development of changes that helps
to affect the business target plans. Present study will be based on the globalisation impacts. For
which study has been taken Tesco for taking into action. Further study will explain how Tesco
plan the systematic procedure to adopt all opportunities and threats of globalisation in order to
meet out the company objectives. However, research will also conduct a study to identify the
impact of globalisation on different business functions such as marketing, financial, operations,
human resource etc.

Background
Globalisation introduces new techniques and innovative changes within the businesses,
that helps to achieve customer satisfaction and long term sustainability growth. It creates new
traits and practices of other cultures within the organisation goals. It helps to creates long term
objectives and make the best outcome goals (Agostino and et.al., 2015). Globalisation forces
industries to grow more competitive environment if they want to survive in the market. New
changes has change the working culture and seek new opportunities for the business
development growth.
International business develops helps Tesco to develop new trends and product and
services for the potential customers (Bailey and et.al., 2018). Besides, due to globalisation it also
affected by different changes of cultures, economic and ethical impacts which affects directly to
the different functions of business such as operations, marketing and HR accounting. Present
study aims to identify those influencing factors that impact on business functions of Tesco.
Besides, study also finding the solution of research problem as well.

Project Scope : Scope of the research helps to enhance the importance of research that,
makes the long term impact on the development session in order to meet out the goals of the
study. Scope of present research is to identify the long term goals and take the best possible
outcomes for the findings (Benn, Edwards and Williams, 2014).
Time/Schedule : it is the important element of project management that helps to identify
the starting or ending date of the project in order to meet out the result outcomes and goals.
Work breakdown structure helps to determine the starting and ending date of the project. Present
plan will be finishing in 1 months from the starting date.
Costs : Cost is the significant element to set for the budget and the respective activities
involves in overall process (Crane and Matten, 2016). Such as operational cost, resources cost
etc.
Resources : it is the another significant element of the study that helps to full fill the
activities and growth.
Communication : Build up the proper communication helps in consulting process and
makes the new managing effective learning process to take out the best results. Better
communication increase the chances of better success.
Quality : it is the another most component of the project management which needs to be
involved to get the effective result outcomes. Quality involves, availability and strength that
required in within the environment (Epstein, 2018). Due to less quality of work will impact the
project value and other outcomes. It affects the long term business goals in order to meet out the
best outcome results.
Risk: Risk involves in each and every step of project management that might be affected
to the activities of plan. Researcher needs to make some contingency plans to get out of
problems or issues (Hair Jr and et.al., 2015).

Research approach : Research approach is the plan and procedure that consists of the
step of broad assumptions to detailed method of data collection. It affect the long term goals in
order to meet out the research objectives. Further, research approach further divided into
methods Deductive and Inductive (Hair Jr and et.al., 2015). Deductive approach has based on
hypotheses on existing theory. Contrary, Inductive approach in inductive reasoning with the
observation theories are proposed towards the end of the research process as a observation.
Present study has been based on deductive research approach style.
Research design : Research design is the another essential methodology which has a
different meaning. Research design has divided into two groups Exploratory and Conclusive.
Exploratory result outcomes has been divided into two parts and also affect the new managing

successful business growth (Iqbal, Nadeem and Zaheer, 2015). Exploratory design explore the
research question but does not find out the solution. Overall, it generally determine the nature of
problem or an issues. Conclusive design helps to generate the findings of the research to make
the final or better decision making approach. Present study has been based on Exploratory
research design in order to develop the topic more data and results.
Data collection : Data collection is the technique and results to make the best outcome
results and data findings (Kerzner and Kerzner, 2017). Data collection is the process to collects
all necessary data or findings to make the proper effective learning outcomes and growth. Apart
from that, it also helps to discover the new outcomes and creativity growth. Data collection
divided into methods primary and secondary data collection techniques.
Secondary data collection in which data has already been exist in the books, journals,
newspaper etc (Laudon and Laudon, 2016). there are number of data presented in secondary
sources. This plays a most essential role to increase the validity and reliability. Present study has
collected data through books and journals.
Primary data collection techniques further divided into two parts quantitative
and qualitative method. Quantitative method has been based on mathematical terms in various
formats. Primary data collection techniques is quite challenging as compare to the secondary
research techniques. Qualitative data collection is flexible or ensure the depth of understanding
and qualitative data collection methods which includes, questionnaire, interviews, data
observation styles to conduct the study into more effective manner. Present study has been taken
qualitative method of data collection techniques by conducting survey of 30 employees of Tesco.
Sampling : Sampling is the another most developing and needful element in the research
process. That helps to create the new learning goals and new developing targets. It is the process
where researcher used to select number of respondents from the high population in order to
conduct the study into more appropriate manner. There are two types of sampling method
probability sampling and non-probability sampling. Probability sampling is the technique or
method which influenced the better goals and target market performance in order to meet out the
result outcomes. In probability sampling, researcher give chance to everyone to participate in the
research objectives in order to meet out the result outcomes. On the other hand, non probability
sampling is the process in which researcher selects members on the basis of some particular
group, on non random manner. Non probability sampling methods are purposive, quota,

snowball sampling etc (Laudon and Laudon, 2016). present study will be taking simple random
sampling. In other words, researcher will be selected 30 employees of Tesco to identify the
positive and negative outcomes of globalisation.
Data Analysis : It is the another method of research which has been conducted after
collection of data. Data analysis is the process in which researcher conduct or analysis data with
the help of two methods qualitative and quantitative method of style. Data analysis based on
quantitative style involves the critical analysis of interpretation of findings. On the other hand,
data analysis with qualitative style has been based on interview, questionnaire experiments etc.
present study will be taking qualitative data analysis technique.
Ethical consideration : ethical consideration should always be involves in every
research to find out the ethical results. In order to conduct the research it is important for the
researcher to analyses the data into more appropriate manner.

Interpretation : This is to interpret the above acquired finding from the employees of TESCO
who agreed to face an increased level of competition after adopting the strategies related to
globalisation. It is in accordance to 15 participants, out of 30 who agreed with such type of
consequences. However, 10 have stated a clear no with 5 being unknown of this fact. However,
on relating this finding with that to the information learnt from secondary sources, it has been
found to be a vital fact about globalisation that certainly leads to an increased level of
competition. It can be either relate to the products and services or to their costs or target market,
etc. This is for instance if TESCO is selling a good quality product at lower price, then this is
evident to enhance its market shares to a great extent, becoming a contending battle for its
rivalries.

Interpretation : This is on referring to yet another pivotal query asked to the employees
of Tesco in terms of their undertaken policies and procedures getting affected due to
globalisation. On which, a large number of respondents have agreed to this fact with 5 depicting
a low agreement towards it and 10 at a moderate state. It is therefore on relating this finding with
that to the findings gathered from secondary resources, it has been found that globalisation
greatly impacts upon the human resource management of an organisation. It does leads to the
globalization of personnel resources by together bringing corporate and cultural differences.

Interpretation : As per this analysation process. It has been concluded that, to which
extent globalisation affect the working culture of Tesco. So that, 15 were stated that, company
get affected highly and influenced by globalisation. Apart from that, 5 of them were stated that, it
affects low as per to others. Only 10 of them were stated that, globalisation affect moderately to
the company.

Interpretation : As per this analysation process, it has been found out by researcher that,
globalisation impact on team work in different manner. 15 employees were stated that, economic
process increased cultural diversity. Out which 5 of them were stated globalisation enhance the
earning changes and affect the business goals. Only 10 of them were stated that due to economic
process employee training has been increased to adopt all changes of globalisation.

In order to conduct the study it has been evaluated that how globalisation affect the
different functions of Tesco and create negative and positive work culture as well (Nankervis and
et.al., 2016). Further study has been based on the impact of international businesses on the other
businesses. In respect to the literature review it has been analysed the different challenges and
opportunities has involved in globalisation. Study conducted survey with 30 employees. It has
been observed by researcher that, number of response of the respondents are came positive
towards the globalisation. Study also has been used different qualitative and quantitative research
techniques to collect data. That helps investigator to observed research findings and solutions as
well.
Recommendation
In order to recommend the study it has been evaluated that company needs to adopt
globalisation policies in order to introduce diverse culture workforce environment (Nankervis
and et.al., 2016). That affect the long term goals and effective working outcomes and goals. In
order to recommend study into more appropriate manner and also affect the business objective
and best effective process. Apart from that, it also influenced better opportunity and goals in
order to meet out the best possible action plan and take better goal oriented process. Company
should adopt globalisation policies in order to earn changes (Shenkar, Luo and Chi, 2014).
Globalisation helps to allows businesses to take advantage of overseas outsourcing. This is great
for businesses as developing countries offer a similar.
Increased standards are also helps to create the new developing task in order to meet out
the result goals (Su, and et.al., 2016). Apart from that, globalisation also more helpful to create
standards to match overseas clients expectations, workers are safer and able to perform to their
full potential. Developing economies and benefits to give the better developing targets.

P7 Reflective.
Throughout this overall research I have analysed so many different skills and knowledge
regarding globalisation and their factors that affect the business functions. Such as marketing,
HR, operation and finance. I have learned so many different aspects of international businesses
that helps me for my different further study. It helps me to take my career goals more far. Present
study aims to identify the different aspects or challenges of globalisation on the company

functions. Throughout this study, I have been using different research methods and techniques to
collect data. That helps me in my further researchers. Now I can do my research on globalisation
in order to explore the company marketing activities and the impact of globalisation on other
small sector companies (Shenkar, Luo and Chi, 2014). These are my further research areas that I
can conduct. Overall, study enhance my strength and also helps me to identify my own strength
and weaknesses as well.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it has been cleared out that how much globalisation affect the
business functions and other activities as well. Study discussed some positive and negative
effects of globalisation on the company effects. Study has been based on different research
techniques that helps to research the study and collects the data as well.
