The organisation should always take actions to ensure future demand andmake the strategies to deal with uncertainty in the process. According to current data, as per theindustry trends and with the help of other information the manager can predict the future as wellforecast the future demands. The linen stock includes the fabric household goods which areintended in daily uses such as bedding, towels, tablecloths etc. To meed the demand it's veryessential for hotels to forecast the linen stock which is supply to guest by which guest remainshappy as well as their demands are also meet (Mayson and Charlton, 2015). The importance offorecasting are:-Customer satisfaction:- With the help of forecasting customer satisfaction will increaseas the hotel is need to provide the services which they want. Through this productdemand can be predict according to which products can be available to fulfil customersdemands on time. Improve pricing and promotion management:- The promotions and relatedforecasting allows hotel's to improve the flow of goods and achieve accurate results interms of stock fill rates and it's availability (Ragab and Meis, 2016). This also helps themto forecast the impact of pricing depends upon both gross margin and revenue. Reduce inventory stock outs:- As the items are buying from long lead times than it'sessential for organisation to provide demand forecasting to suppliers as according to thatraw materials in anticipating of actual customer orders.P.8 The importance of interrelation of housekeeping department with other departments.The housekeeping department is concern with the cleanliness and maintaining hygienewithin department. It's very important department in a hotel to manage cleaning and providingpolite atmosphere to it's customer (Schegg and Stangl, 2017).
