customers (Abed, 2019). As market competition has been raised thus each and every industry
provides best services to the customers to attains the attention of the market. In this competition
to gain the advantage company provides the luxury services to get the higher market revenue and
profit. This report is based on the accommodation services of South lodge hotel,UK and it is
established in 1985 and develop by James Hodges. This report includes the different role of
housekeeping department and with that assess the importance of linen stock. After that describes
the importance of interrelationship between housekeeping and other key department.
Furthermore, defines the importance of scheduling maintenance and security. At last includes
the role of maintenance plays in accommodation services.

Housekeeping department plays an important role in an organisation with that it performs
different functions. Thus organisational chart of housekeeping shows an important role as it
shows the clear picture of all the functions that has been performed under housekeeping

Housekeeping duties: There are different duties that is performed by the housekeeping
department that are as follows as:
Daily check the rooms and clean the warehouse on an daily basis.
Keeps the garbage bins and trashes clean and provide that in every rooms and in corridors
as well.
Clean the rooms, kitchen, lounges, cafe twice in a day.
Wipe up the surface and thrice in a day and wash it properly within a weak.
Remove the curtains, fridges, refrigerators etc. twice a day (Ettinger, 2018) .

Forecasting has been done to manage the stock for the future and with that analyse the
need and demand of customers. With that it is needed to measure the performance of the
business to reduce the uncertainty of risk. The manager of South lodge hotel forecast the linen
stock to manage and plan the strategies that will further used to enhance the productivity of the
