INTRODUCTION
The department which is responsible for coordinating with HR functions and invite
learners for activities that help them learn role and responsibilities related to Human Resources
in a workplace. HR management is important to ensure that company’s goals are achieved. Every
organisation is evolving and adapting new work culture, functions of HR also change
accordingly to produces the same outcomes ass the organisation has desired. HR contributes
major part to an organisation and most important attributes of success of HR is delivered within
all departments of an organisation (Michael, 2019). Working process is changing and this
pandemic has its impact on work culture by organisation, every department including HRM is
changing with needs and advancements in technologies. Chartered institute of personnel
development is a professional body that accredits Professionals in HR qualifications.
MAIN BODY
Human Resource Management
In an organisation, Human resource department handles all aspects related to employees.
They deal with the practice of on-boarding, recruiting, giving them training and managing
individuals working in an organisation. They put their efforts into creating policies that helps in
governing employees and managing relations between employees and the organisation. Human
Resource management emphasises on employees who are an asset for the company and its
business as they work as human capital. Their goal is to make employees work effectively with
less amount of risk and receive maximum return on investment. The modern word for HR
technology is Human Capital Management or HCM (Kianto, Sáenz and Aramburu, 2017). Many
large and medium companies and other software related organisations have adopted HCM into
their working pattern.
HRM plays an important role in development of company’s future. Every employee
working within the company is the soul of the organisation, HRM selects candidates which are
best match for the company and the train them and give them appropriate compensation to work
well for the country. HRM as a whole have undergone many changes from last few years.
Earlier, HRM work was more related to administrative work like managing payrolls, sending gift
cards on employee’s birthday, arranging picnics and other outings and making individuals fill
forms and applications on time, this all was less strategic work which cannot lead the company

towards success (Stewart, and Brown, 2019). Every manger working in the company has some
roles which are related to human resource management, they have to deal with compensation
process, retention of employees and motivating their team members.
Role of HRM for current and future functions
In this modern world, companies have become more people centric and HRM as the
name suggests, deals with the humans and their resources working in the company. Functions
and roles of HRM include:
Job design and analysis: One of the main functions of HRM is job design and job
analysis. Mentioning duties, responsibilities and functions related to job are all involved in job
design process. They conduct a research to identify qualities of an ideal candidate and hire the
employee who is best suitable for the job. This is consummate by recitation skills and character
behaviour of employee who is excelling in their job (Podgorodnichenko, Edgar and McAndrew,
2020). By doing so helps them determine the minimum requirements a candidate must have to
meet the criteria for the job. Job analysis on the other hand is the process of stating job
requirements like skills, experience and other qualifications. It helps them decide future
possibility while recruiting.
Employee on-boarding and selection: Recruitment is primary function in order to keep
the company working and is handled by HRM. HR department aims to retain qualifies
employees who works effectively. Out of the list of favourable candidates applying for the job,
HRM selects the right individual who will work for company’s goal and objective
(Sivapragasam and Raya, 2018). After the HRM selects the candidate, they go through a
screening process to filter out best candidates from the pool of applicants. And then several
interview rounds to test sills and qualification that candidates have mentioned in their Resume
and what all is required for the job arrangement.
Training and developing employee: Providing the employees with proper training is
crucial function of HRM as the success of the company depends on how the employees are
performing and trained for the job. Employees look forward to work in an organisation where
grow and evolve within the company. HR is responsible to educate employees to company
specific knowledge and qualification to perform work efficiently (Jain 2019). This process helps
in boasting overall efficiency, profitability and productivity of the working team. Thus, results in
