INTRODUCTION
Managers of business entity have to do proper management on their operational activities
which will helps in attaining success and also in doing improvements. If they are using continual
improvement process then they can put more efforts which will assist in improving products and
services by adopting appropriate processes (Reason, 2016). If this procedure used by business
entity, then this will aid in boosting efficiency and effectiveness to fulfil its policy along with
objectives. Present report is based on Morrison which is a supermarket and market share of firm
is approx. 11%. In the below mentioned report, discussion based on features of organisational
culture which assist in encouraging and also allowing for continuous improvements.
TASK 1
1.1 Feature of culture which encourage to continuous improvements
The manager of business entity has to develop its human resources which assist in
improving organisation culture. Culture of Morrison’s refers to customs along with the values
which defines behaviour of workers and decision which they are making. If manager of firm
improves their human resources, then this will assist in identifying solutions of problems which
they are facing. When they are adopting appropriate culture then this will assist in doing
innovation for continuous improvements (Continuous improvement in your organisation: How to
lead it, 2016). Human resources of Morrison are developed by providing training which will aid
in maintaining skills for attaining aim of business entity. The main features of organisational
culture include:
Rewards for identifying solution for problems and decision making: Staff members of
enterprise identify creative solutions of different obstacles which they are facing and also
making correct decisions. To motivate employees, rewards are provided to them as a
incentives so that they become more creative in contributing to business.
Continuous improvement: Company having an organisational culture that they have to do
constant development of products and services. Betterment is a never ending process and
it provides opportunity for Morrison to evaluate its merchandise on a regular basis
(Bourne, 2016).
