and point of view of the existing employees. This will help thee hospital to make the recruitment

Pre-selection is the process where the employees of the company are chosen based on their
performances and the management department of the organization selects them previously and
keeps them in mind and in the later stages of the selection process the candidates are actually
recruited for the organization. Royal London Hospital must keep these things in mind that the

maintain a perfect organizational environment (Redman, 2012).

responsible for the improvements in the field. It can be said that the nurses and the social
workers must have the least accommodating power to make himself or herself suitable for the
situation to work on. There are many places in the teams or in the groups where the employees
do not find themselves in the minimum comfort zone. The employees if the hospital must know
the effects of working in a team in order to be able to complete the given task. It is obvious that a
team is always very efficient rather than an individual to complete a given a task. In the field of
health and social care team work is very much needed in order to make the work more effective

doctors in different places Operation Theater, general wards ICU etc. It always brings the
efficient changes inside the working environment and the doctors also find it easy to

workers and the nurses of Royal London Hospital find it very difficult to face different
situations. That is where the problem of being inexperienced occurs. The management
department of Royal London Hospital must understand the effectiveness of proper

It is very difficult to deal with the health of people. Especially in a country like UK it
becomes more difficult to handle the health of the people because the government of the
country is very conscious about the health of the people of the country. Proper eligible
employees are needed in this sort of situation in order to take extra care of the patients in
hospital.
There are different situations in the hospitals and the terms and conditions of the hospital
are related these situations. The employees must be aware of different situations of Royal
London Hospital in order to maintain organizational criteria of working. The employees
need proper training and development ideas in order to fulfill the organizational criteria
in the field.

be defined and promoted depending on the organizational situations. The criteria and the needs
of Royal London Hospital tell about the needs of proper training and development in the field.
Different fields like, finance, employee structure of the hospitals and many others help the
hospital to promote the training process in the most effective way. In order to make effective
promotions the hospital needs to set proper examples in front of every other employee. It will
make the other employees to understand about the effectiveness of development and training
processes in the hospital. They will be able to relate the works of the hospitals with the emotions
of the patients and their families. That is the place where the exact promotion of training and
development will take place and the hospital will get all kinds of positivity with the
implementations of the proper training and development.
Task 4
4.1 The theories of leadership that can be applied in the hospital
Leaders are the main people who are responsible for making any organizational movements. He
or she can be effective in the field of motivating the employees of the company as well. In the
field of work, there are different situations where the employees or the workers of the company
face difficult situations and need guidance. Leaders are the one who come into play in this
situation and play vital roles in order to make effective movements in order to help the
employees out from the complicated situation. This actually helps the employees as well as the
organization so that the organizational work flow continues. There are several theories of
leadership depending on which the leaders take their decisions and make their movements
(Tosti-Kharas, Lamm and Thomas, 2016). There are different theories of leadership that can be

taken under the matters of concern when it comes to the part of maintain a hospital. It can be said
that Royal London Hospital can try the following leadership theories in the most effective ways,
The great man theory: This theory of leadership actually tells about the leaders who are inborn.
It means the persons who have the inborn capabilities of being a leader can be taken under this
leadership theory. In this case, Royal London Hospital must be aware of the fact that the doctors
in the hospitals must be considered as the commanding leaders as they know how to handle
different health concerning situations. It can be elaborated in such a way that the doctors are
brought up while taking different lessons about health. So this theory of leadership is appropriate
for the hospital.
Trait theory: This theory gives an option in between inborn leaders and handmade leaders. It
means this theory actually says about those leaders who are inborn leaders or are brought up to
be a leader. The nurses or the workers can be trained in order to take different kinds of
responsibilities. So this theory actually suits the employees or the nurses of the hospital where
they can be trained to be a leader.
Behavioral theory: It is the behavior of the employees and the nurses in the hospital that help
them to be a leader in the hospital environment. Their ability to take the responsibilities of the
patients, ability to handle the organizational situations makes them efficient leaders for the
future. It can be said that the ability to deal with the families of the patient also defines their
capabilities and help them to be perfect future leaders.
4.2 The management of working relationships inside the hospital
The working relationship inside the organizational environment must be made according to the
needs of the organization. It is to say that the employees and the workers of the hospitals must
Page 12 of 14
Document Page

get the proper environment in order to build the relationship perfectly. Building the proper
relationship inside the organizational environment actually enhances the possibilities of making
the organizational targets easier to be achieved. In this situation it can be said that the
experienced workers or the nurses in the hospital must come forward and they must take all the
responsibilities in order to build a solid working relationship. It is for the sake of the hospital and
it makes the reputation of the hospital more positive and the people of the city will approach to
take the service more often if the relationship is built in a proper mannerism.
4.3 Evaluation of own development influenced by management approaches
There are many management approaches depending on which the development of own
performances can be done. I basically feel that while working in a group or team the self-
development of a person can happen in the most effective way. It can be said that the
performance of a team actually gives all sorts of motivation to the other team members as well
and that is the place where the actual development is done. It is obvious that the management
approaches to control and develop the organizational situation are more than what words can
describe (CARLISLE, 2015). There are many fields where the development can be seen in the
most effective mannerism as far I think,
Taking responsibility in different situation of the organization
Being the main person to complete a particular job
Being effective in the organizational environment
Making impressive movements in the field of the business.
