INTRODUCTION
Human resource management may be defined as the process of recruiting, hiring,
deploying and managing the employees within the organisation. HR management is basically a
strategic approach which are designed to maximize the performance of the employees so that
business can gain the competitive advantage(Astek, Sheeran and Sparkes, 2020). The HR
manager hire the talented employees within the workplace according to the requirement of the
different division of the company. The first and the foremost duty of the HR manager is to
recruit the right people with the right knowledge and skill so that they can complete the work
which are assign to them and benefit the organisation. Along with this, they have to appraise the
contribution of the employees towards the organisation and provide them a good working
environment, which enhance their performance. It is very important for the Human resource
management of the company to make the proper strategic plan so that, they can enhance the
employees performance. The following report is based on the TESCO PLC, which is well known
British multinational brand of UK. The respective company was founded in 1919 by Jack Cohen
and the headquarter of the company is situated in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England,
UK. The following report is going to analyse the concept and drivers of the employees
engagement with various forms of diagnostic tools so that engagement can be effectively
manage. An employee's value proposition is also construct in this report and various strategies
in order to enhance the level of engagement.

Reviews the concept and drivers of employee engagement
The involvement of employees plays a very important role within the organisation and it
is crucial for the HR manager to address this. The healthy as well as happy environment is
provided by the management in order to improve the engagement of the employees and increase
their efficiency within the workplace (Chemuturi and Chemuturi, 2019). The engagement of the
employees within the organisation not only motivates them but also support them in attaining
objectives of the firm. In context to the TESCO plc, management uses the two way
communication within the workplace and this is only because they give value to the efforts of
staff members.

Along with this, the engagement of the employees is also effect the profits and success of
the firm. If the employees are not fully involve in the organisation then they are not be able to
attain the set target within the set time limit and this directly reflects on the performance of the
company. Commitment, loyalty, contribution are some of the factors which leads to the
engagement of the employees. To achieve the set objectives 100 % contribution as well as efforts
are given by the staff members of the TESCO plc. Following are the main drives of the
employees engagement in relation to the TESCO plc has been mentioned below: -
Organisational culture:- this is being considered as the most important driver of the
employees engagement. The first and the foremost thing which is noticed by a candidate
is the working environment or the culture of the organisation. In context to the TESCO
PLC, healthy as well as happy working environment is provided by the management of
the respective company (Dunlop and et. al., 2020). The reason behind that the
management easily face the global pandemic situation is engagement of the employee's
within the organisation. The employee's contribute in a very effective manner to attain the
targets.
Support and empowerment: - it is very important for the manager or seniors of the
company to continuously support and appreciate their employees. This result in that the
employee always feel motivates and contributes as much as possible for the organisation.
The empowerment as well as the support are the two most important aspects which assist
in improving the engagement level and motivation level of the employee's. In context to
the TESCO plc, the management of the respective firm continuously develop the
effective training programme for their workers which assist in improving as well as
evolving some new skills within the employees and easily adapt the new and innovative
things.
Recognition, rewards and Appreciation: - this also being considered as the most
important drive which improve the employees engagement within the workplace. In
context to the TESCO plc, the seniors of the company regularly recognition, rewards and
appreciate their employees(Ellis-Smith and et. al.,2021). This is the reason that they
always feel motivated and engaged towards the organisation goals. Perks, monitory
benefits, regular appraisal and many more are given by the management of the TESCO
plc in order to develop effective relationship with their employees.
