INTRODUCTIONIn health and social care, quality is necessary component and it has various perspectivesas well as interpretations. It is necessary for external stakeholders and service users of health andsocial care. It is a responsibility of health and social care sector is to provide better quality ofservices to patients. This present report is based on Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust. Itgives acute care as well as treatment for catchment population almost 500,000 individuals inBath and surroundings villages and towns (Al Hamhum, 2013). Under this mention reportdiscuss about perspectives that stakeholders in the health and social care have related to quality.Impact of poor quality service on stakeholders of health care will be discuss in this report. TASK 11.1 Perspectives that stakeholders in health and social careQuality concept is based on the perspectives of every users. It is depend on opinions,ideasand likes of an individual in an effective way. In health and social care sector, there are varioustypes of stakeholders are included and these people take interest in activities as well as operationof care homes. Perspectives of every stakeholders are different from the each other. According tostaff members perspectives they are giving services to users and according to them it is aresponsibility as well as liability of service practitioners to maintain quality of Royal UnitedHospital Bath NHS Trust. It can only be done when workers of this care home are motivated inorder to perform practices effectively (Angles and et. al., 2013). Second is Perspective of legalbodies and under this, government develops some policies as well as regulations for health carehomes so that they can follow them at the time of conducting their operations. Under this, thereare some other external bodied such as health care commissioners, national institute for clinicalexcellence and Central Quality Commission (CQC) which set some benchmark for social andhealth care. In Perspectives of service users, persons which use services of Royal UnitedHospital Bath NHS Trust have their own opinions and perspectives related to service quality.Under this, quality of care home should meet necessity of patients or service users. 1.2 Role of external agencies in setting standardsUnder this, external agencies monitor and also support facilities related to health andsocial care. They act like pursuant of the quality care, oversight authorities, protect interest ofstakeholders etc. These agencies work on maximising the oversight mechanism by providing the1

control to local, state and federal authorities (Armstrong, 2015). In this, external agencies pursueadvocacy programmes through giving incentives as well as accreditation guarantors on quality.There are different external agencies and their roles are given below:Care Quality Commission (CQC)- Main objective of this agency is to set somestandards for the residential and social care administration. Their major focus on provide dailybasis activities with better quality. IT is non- departmental public body and set standards so thatservice users of Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust can take better basic facilities. Role- Its main role is to supervise as well as regulate services at health and social care. Ittakes actions if in case the care home does not meet with pre- defined standards.Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)- It is governmentagency which assures care devices as well as medicines should be safe and also in theprofessional way. It is responsible for assuring that health care firms improve safety and qualityin the care setting.Role- It role is to maintain quality of equipments and care devices properly. It works onimproving health of patients rapidly (Chawla and et. al., 2016). National institute for clinical excellence- It gives advices toNational Health Services(NHS) in UK country. From this, health care homes can work in an effective or better mannerand provide better services to patients. Role- It helps in generate guidelines and also provide advice on continuous basis to healthand social care services. 1.3 Impact of poor service quality on health and social care stakeholdersPoor services impact on health and social care negatively. It can minimize cost as well asproductivity of Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust. Poor quality if are homes can minimizeconsumer satisfaction which can lead from to be shut down, there are many different healthregulation agencies which take some legal actions against it. On the other hand health and socialcare firms should have affect on service users, if in case the services users are not satisfied thenproductivity of Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust can be reduced. So, it is necessary forhealth care home to provide better services and use effective equipments which can help in bettertreatment to service users. With the help of this, service users will be loyal towards firm and theywill retain towards company for long period of time. Poor service quality develops negativeimpact on mind of stakeholders.
