INTRODUCTION
Profit maximization an sustainability are two main objectives of organizations.
Competition is high and the major challenge face by entities is to satisfy customer. Corporate
social responsibility (CSR) ensures that companies conduct their operations in an ethical way.
That can support in increasing satisfaction level of uses (Anttila and Jussila, 2013). Thus
profitability of the organizations can get increased by conducting CSR activities in the
workplace. CSR takes many aspects into consideration such as economic, environment, human
rights etc. CSR is the initiatives of corporations for wellbeing of society and environment. Every
firm has senses of responsibility towards the community so they need to fulfill their duties and
have to concentrate on improving condition of environment and society. That can help in gaining
competitive advantage to the entities (Aversano, Grasso and Tortorella, 2016).
Present report is based on Torchbox company which is a website developer organization
for various NGOs, social reformer companies etc. Assignment will discuss the concept of
corporate social responsibility and its impact on profitability and sustainability of business units.
Tools and techniques of research methodologies will be described in this study.
TASK 1
P1 Project aims and objectives
The major aim of the project is to implement the CSR activities in the organisation
Torchbox. The CSR activities application within company will help in presenting the firm as a
responsible enterprise because of which the entity can get more success (Anttila and Jussila,
2013). Therefore, the aims and objectives in this scenario can be set in the following way:
Aim: ‘To implement the CSR activities within organisation to achieve sustainable objectives’.
Objectives
As per the above aim, several objectives can be created that will help in covering the
major aim of set out for Torchbox firm. The objectives in this sense can be set out in below
manner:
To have an understanding of CSR concept
To analyse the role of CSR activities in gaining the competitive advantages

To examine the significance of CSR functions in attainment of sustainable objectives.
To suggest the ways through which CSR activities can be applied to gain competitive
advantage and sustainable objectives.
P2 Project management plan
The project management plan is made to make a structure of the activities that will be
carried out in a systematic manner. The first step usually consists of an outline of the resources
needed to carry out the project. A Management Professional could be employed who will be
responsible to plan, design and execute the entire project (Aversano, Grasso and Tortorella,
2016). Further for performance of intended project, various resources are required to be planned
out, like time schedule , budget raw material , human capital and assessment of risk factors. With
the help of planning designed by considering all these factors will help in designing an ideal
project plan . As per the current scenario of implementing CSR activities, the project manager
will have to decide upon all the mentioned resources and target a schedule to ensure the
completion of project on time. Besides this he will also make a projection over risk factors so
that all the uncertain events can be prevented.
