INTRODUCTION
Corporate Social Activity is responsibilities of a firm, organisation or company toward
welfare of society for improvement in living and problem increased in environment. A successful
company have to contribute in CSR activities in order to balance economic and financial
condition of organisation and society. This approach has been legally approved by Govt. of many
many countries which argues that organisation has to contribute in society issues and problems,
employee family living betterment. Also by this, Govt. can gather fund and sponsor in distribute
some responsibility to private sector (Ries, 2011). This is useful for organisation as well as it
develop organisation competitive advantage and build different brand image in society. In this
report, CSR activities of Charlotte hotel will be analysed which is a four star luxury hotel and
popular for its hospitality, Therefore, it has to perform CSR among society and among
employees. This report will discuss aims and objective of research, and study of project
management plan and implementation strategy among society. Also it will study advantage of
CSR activities in reputation building and competitive environment.

CSR activities help an organisation in building reputation among society with promoting
with help of media tools. According to CSR concept, organisation has to perform some activities
in context of society in order to support, secure or well being of surround environment and
society and helping their employee family and public living better and convenient. Such
activities includes build roads, bridges, parks, Ozone-friendly environment, planting trees and
other actualities to change society in a healthier way. This helps organisation in sustainable
development and brand building and competitive improvement tool organisation. This is
considered also a promotional tool to attract customers by sake of positive goodwill of firm build
by CSR activity (Baiden and Price, 2011). It make a smooth and effective perceptive of company
among public in a positive way. Charlotte hotel is recently established hotel with approx. 650
employee working in organisation. Company is enable to enact large CSR activities but it can
still work on Small CSR activities with effective a low budget strategy to make a positive
reputation in locals and easier their life. It can also help Charlotte hotel in promotion activities in
sake of company.

Background Of Project-
In CSR concept, Organisation voluntarily participate in social activities to decrease social issues
and major problems of society to reach sustainable objective. These sustainable objectives can
easily be met by involvement CSR activities. Such activities create an effective and strong brand
image among people. Charlotte hotel is a well established hotel with vast number of employees.
Hotel has not performer in CSR activities yet, which explains requirement of CSR activities
needed to be performed by hotel to attract consumer. Where on other side, Other organisation are
constantly organising and performing CSR activities with time leap which is giving a hard
competition to others in respect branding and promotion (Bakker and et. al., 2011). They are
promoting their brand through CSR aggressively and drawing attention of public. Despite of
promotion tool, CSR activities allow company to reach and allow to work with Govt. and
resource Govt. fund. Govt. support those organisation who took step behalf social welfare this is
reason of this project Charlotte hotel require CSR approach to reach and attract public and build
positive brand image.
Aim: Implementing CSR activities within organisations to meet sustainable objectives. A study
on Charlotte hotel.
Objective:
 To analyse importance of CSR activities to reach goal and measure its impact on
Charlotte hotel (Rosenau and Githens, 2011).
 To study CSR relation in achieving competitive development of Charlotte hotel .
 To evaluate techniques of CSR activities to achieve competitive development of
Charlotte hotel .
P2 Preparation of project management plan
Planning is an essential tool for every business through which whole work get done
accordingly. This is consider as a backbone of a project because execution and task division is
completely about a part of plan. For any project it is mandatory for management to create a plan
through which whole activities get done in an appropriate manner (Beringer, Jonas and Kock,
2013). A perfect plan is one in which all the factors which are related with project are realise and
execution of them will being in well manner. Charlotte hotel have to prepare a plan under which

they lead to identify the factors which should have to be include in plan at the time of
determining project. Cost: For any activity some amount or cost is involved in that. Management have to
measure the cost which is incur on project and it is their moral duty to done all the things
for such project according to that. This project require the investment of £11000 which is
so much and thus leads to manage all things in a appropriate manner. Scope: Scope is refer to as such thing which is associated with project in which a major
thing is identified that is success criteria of operation. CSR provides a strength and long
term benefit to a company and thus it scope for them is very broad. Time: A appropriate duration have to be frame by authority in which the task have to get
accomplish. For performing the corporate social responsibility, management set a time
which is of one month. Quality: It is consider as effectiveness of project in which management have to aware
about the quality which is offer or serve by them (Chang, Walters and Wills, 2013).
Hence, as per CSR authority have to take appropriate decision through which they can
upgrade the level of society. Communication: Management have to pass the information in appropriate manner. The
main thing for any successful project is communication. Authority have to pass the
relevant information from top to bottom which is related to CSR in a proper way. Risk: Along with some advantages and gain, there are always some number of risk factor
are associated. The risk factor with this activity is might number of users do not get
satisfied with operations which are implement by an organisation. Resources: For any project some number of resources are required. Corporate social
responsibility is a task which have to get perform in an appropriate manner (Serra and
Kunc, 2015). Money, labour are some of the resources which are require in implementing

operations in an appropriate manner (Doherty, Ashurst and Peppard, 2012). This is consider as
one of a best thing to identify the number of activities and which one is related to which.
P3 Formulation of work breakdown structure and Gantt chart
For any task there are some number of operations and tools are identified which are
helpful in divide the work according to nature. In this activity, the operations which are
compulsory come first and which are not come to the next place. The two essential tools and
techniques for this context are Gantt chart and Work breakdown structure.
Gantt chart: In this tool whole work get divided according to requirement of time and manage
properly so that outcome become effective in nature. For any project there should be a fixed time
frame and management have to follow that so a better output can be gain. Gantt chart is a
systematic diagram in which whole work is divided according to time frame by intervals.

Work breakdown structure: It is a duty of manager to divide the whole work into divisions. Then
such divisions are going to divide further more (Eweje, Turner and Müller, 2012). But this is not
associated with dates and time duration. The work should have to divide according to
requirement of time and in a proper manner.

P4 Using appropriate methods for attaining all the aims and objectives in an effective manner
This research focuses on analysis on effect of CSR activities on Charollte hotel in
respect of Sustainable objectives and competitive development. The report will use Both
qualitative and quantitative methods to reach desired results (Söderlund, 2011.). Quantitative
research are used to reach statistical and numerical data and fact of a particular subject whereas
qualitative methods are used to reach behavioural information, and depth of different behavioural
approaches and to seek answer.
This study require qualitative methods to measure effectiveness of CSR activities among
society which will need study of literature through analysis of secondary data such as different
books, journals, magazines, newspaper articles. This has bring out results of sustainable
objective. Also quantitative method, as well, carried out facts and figures of success of
comparative development and reaching of sustainable objective by other organisation also it will
help in providing strategic planning concept and effective implementation strategy. For these,
research will require primary data which allow to find antithetic facts and result on Charollte
hotel .

organisations. CSR is beneficial for company welfare, promotion, and competitive advantage
within society (Gido, Clements and Clements, 2014). Charlotte hotel require to organise CSR
activities among society to get attention of consumers in large scale and large scale and for
improvement in competitive development. But it is also necessary to perform CSR in a definite
and effective method to get desire advantages and results. Here some following methods are
mentioned which can be profitable to attain benefit-
 Most effective and impressive method of CSR is by contributing in Environmental
solution. By organising different activities like Planting trees, organising campaigns to
refrain environment pollution, tree safety, cleaning cities and other tools, in order to
safety and protection of nature and environment, Charlotte hotel can draw attention of
not only public but also can reach in sight of Govt. and NGOs including national and
internation NGO (Meredith and Mantel Jr, 2011). United Kingdom is very concern about
environment and nature of their country. Company can also contribute in Other major

 Social Development concept of CSR approach is ever working strategy which work in
every environment and situation. Brooklands can Start small capital investment in
betterment of their respected society and environment and by solving issues of their local
troubles and development barrier (Mir and Pinnington, 2014). Also Social development
include development of areas which are slow in development process and aren't in reach
of Govt. and other organisation but desperately need a change and improvement in their
situation. This would require a research on U.K. So city and environment but result will
be effective. Newspaper will even promote organisation for their work and a free
promotion and goodwill process will be done automatically.
 Despite of all theses ideas, other effective and eye catchy methods to attract costumers is
Child education and labour. This method result not quickly but effective with time. To
reduce increased child labour, Charlotte hotel can attempt many activities such as
organise campaigns, events, and work for child eduction. References hotel can use CSR
activities in aware people to reduce child labour and motivate society for child education
through informing worth of education. To support Child education and reduce child
labour practices, Charlotte hotel can connect and negotiate with NGO. Also funding with
child NGO will be useful and low budget despite making own strategy.
P7 Reflective report
From following analysis, I understood importances and role of CSR activity within an
organisation. I realised that CSR advantageous for society as well as support a new organisation
in establishment and promotion among society. It not only for building goodwill of organisation
and for organisational purposes but also comprise multiple uses. It is beneficial for achieving
sustainable objectives, competitive development of organisation as well as get larger number
audience and consumers (Pellegrinelli, 2011). Also I realise that before complimenting any CSR
activities, Analysis and research is important to identify effective areas on which CSR can
perform. Also I get to know tools and techniques instead theories , books and journals are also
useful and identification of proper information is needed before finalizing any concept. After
pursue on my research with less time, I found out worth of analysis that I have done even sample
size was small but it is helpful. Also, while analysing data, I came out with bunch of knowledge

such as research techniques, data collection, software of research etc. I found thrilling and
interesting data collection and interpretation process, it is effective and newsworthy process to
collect primary data and analyse and transform it into secondary data. I have gone through many
process, and various concepts and theories (Reich, Gemino and Sauer, 2012). For me, It was a
adventure journey of developing a research for an organisation in a spare of time. Knowledge
and information that I pursued from, will be useful for my as well as Charlotte hotel
development.
CONCLUSION
As per this report it get identified that management have to use and follow appropriate
steps through which they can make their project successful. For any organisation it is
compulsory for them to perform each and every task in an appropriate manner. Company have to
set their goals and objectives in a proper format. For this they have to set this according to
project which they want to formulate. Also, they have to frame proper project plan which is must
for them in execute all the things in an appropriate manner. By using the Gantt chart and work
breakdown structure, company can divide all of their work properly. For any research various
number of methods are used in which the major focus is made on primary research. By
computing this, appropriate results get drawn and suitable improvement and recommendation
areas get derived. The main reason behind executing the project effectively is all about data
analysis through which adequate information can be drawn out effectively.
