INTRODUCTION
A business needs to grow with time to enhance the profit and revenue of the company.
Digital technology bring a revolution in the working of every organization as it helps in
increasing productivity and performance of its various operations. EE Limited which formerly
known as 'Everything Everywhere' is a British mobile network operator and internet service
provider. Moreover, it is a division of British Telecom Group and it was established in the year
2010 with joint venture between Deutsche Telekom and France Télécom. The company can
adopt social media for the effective use of marketing because the firm was originated eight years
ago. That's why the firm needs to use the aggressive marketing to enhance the sales which
reflects in the profit. Hence, the report is based on aims and objectives of the project along with
project management plan. It also includes the research, findings and recommendations (Drucker,
2012).

Digital technology has changed the way to run a business in an effective way. It
transforms the way to operate the business operation with modern technologies. This can be
analysed by the past year results as the internet evolution made the things easy for everyone and
it was the rise of digital technology. Though, digital technology is the biggest revolution for the
developing and developed firms because it made their functions and operations easy. Social
media has also altered the marketing strategies and it increased the profitability through
spreading out the information about availability of the product and services in the targetted
market (Hillson,. 2017).
EE Limited is a telecom company which has a broad market in the United Kingdom.
Therefore, it needs to make their customers aware about new services of the company, so that the
customers can access the product such as new internet package and other telecommunication
services. The company can adopt social technology to increase the marketplace and revenue. As
much as people get aware the new services of EE Limited the firm can expand its business
beyond the boundaries.

Project management plan
Project management plan refers to an estimated investment on a project. A project needs
a huge investment in the development phase that can be the cost, resource and time but with
these spendings the project manager needs to assure the quality and scope of the project. In this
report, EE Limited is going to the prepare this project management plan for the social media that
has a wide scope for the bright future of the company (Adzic, 2011). But these technique also
has risks that are going to covered in it as well. The project management plan for social media
can be prepare as :
Cost – This is the most crucial aspect of the project in order to manage the project in a
systematic way. The cost is required to adopt the social media technology which can assists EE
Limited growth. It needs to estimate the cost for the investment on web hosting, web master and
resources like machinery, human power and so on. Therefore, the company needs to manage its
funds in an effective way. Hence, the EE Limited estimated budget around £21K in order to
manage all the tasks to implement the social media technology (Nicholas and Steyn, 2017).

Resources – The project manager needs to needs to identify the essential resources for
the social media project. These resources refers to the machinery and human resources which
plays a vital role to accomplish the project. Both of these resources are important because
without implementing the computer system and web master, it is impossible to attain the
objectives and goals of social media. Human beings are the resources who carry out the entire
operations of project (Gareis, 2010).
Time – In order to complete social media project, the project supervisor needs to
estimate a time frame. This time duration needs to analyse the various factors such as the web
service provider and risk of the project. After analysing all aspects, it is analysed that this project
will take around 3 months for the completion. These three months are required to ensure the
availability of funds and resources that are needed to carry out the task in order to implement
social media technology for EE Limited.
Scope – EE Limited can widely use social media technology to reach out towards the
intended customers. This is the biggest marketing platform for the company because it has easy
reach to the people. As they are using the social media websites on their mobile and it enhances
the approach to the customers. This is the major advantage for firm because they can promote the
new product launch and services through Facebook, Tumblr, Delicious, Scoopit, Reddit,
Stumbleupon, Twitter and so on. The people are using these websites and by adopting social
media EE Limited can acquire the marketplace to increase the profit of the firm (Turner and
Zolin, 2012).
Quality – This plays a vital role to enhance the business activities as the project manager
should assure the quality of the project. As the project manager needs to ensure that social media
websites has the reach towards the targetted customers. For example, the firm can use the
promotional techniques such as SEO (Search engine optimization), PPC (pay per click), etc.

Through utilising these tools and techniques the firm can promote the products and services with
quality.
Risk – There are several risks which needs to be ensure by the project manager such as
the rivals. As EE Limited is a telecom company and there are several competitors like Virgin
Telecom etc. So, the company will have to face a fierce competition in the market. In order to cut
down challenges company needs to adopt aggressive promotion. In order to overcome these
competition, project manager needs to estimate funds in sufficient amount so that work flow
does not get stop. Managing funds in a time frame is biggest risk because lack of funds can stop
project. Therefore, they needs to overcome challenges that can create a hurdle to complete
project (Viaene and Van, 2011).
Communication – There should be an effective communication among the team so that
every individual can share their views and issues while developing the project. They can
communicate through the e – mail and text messages to share their vision that can be helpful to
develop the social media project and business as well.

Research
EE Limited needs to conduct a research before adopting the social media technology
because it helps to know requirements of the people. The research methods are also essential to
recognise the perceptions about the products and innovative ideas that can also enhance their
visibility in the marketplace. Thus, research methods are as mentioned below -
Primary Data – It is the original data which has been directly collected first time from
the field by researcher for addressing the problem in hand. Main objective of primary research is

to get new and accurate facts and figures through interviews, Surveys and questionnaire. There
are two methods of collecting primary data:
Qualitative Research Methods: It is mainly exploratory in nature and provides insights in
understanding of ideas, opinions, reasons, perceptions and behaviour of a target audience. This is
more communicative and descriptive as it makes easy to understand thoughts of people. In this
method, sample size is small. Some common methods can be use to cater the information such as
Surveys, personal interview, mail, telephone, fax, e-mail, web, experiments, mechanical
observations and so on (Den and Van, 2010).
Quantitative Research Methods: It is used to generate numerical data or data that can be
measured to formulate facts. It uses highly structured methods for data collection and these can
be collected by focus groups (group discussions), individual depth interviews, Human
observations, etc.
Secondary method of research: It is a type research which involves the use of
information obtained by primary research. This research is very fast and easy to conduct and it
has low money consumption too. Researcher uses information available from government,
labour unions. It is primarily published in newspaper, journals, reports, etc (Doherty and Ashurst,
2012).

percent are using Facebook and 10 percent Twitter and 8 percent Pinterest. They all have their

own priorities because of their choice they frequently uses different social media platforms to
reach out to their peers. Therefore, EE Limited can target their customer through these websites
and promote their products and services.

Findings – According to the above graph it can be understand that EE Limited has
various benefits. But among 30 respondents 17 percent are agreed on establishing a brand image
whereas 13 percent voted for target audience. Both votes are crucial for the company because
this is the main motive to adopt the social media technology. As it reach towards the target
customer through establishing a brand image in the present marketplace. This is used to develop
a brand of the company through aggressive social media marketing so that it can aware the
people about the new packages are offering by the company. They can easily purchase the new
telecommunication plans and this will increase the sales of the company.

Findings - It can be clearly understand by the above graph that social media is a tool
that increases the profitability of the firm. Among 30 respondents, 19 are agreed with this
whereas 11 are not agree to raise the profit with social media tools. 19 percent are voted in
favour because they can see the influence on the target market which encourages the customers
to increase the purchasing power. It helps to maximize the profit of the company because it
quickly spread out the information about the new products and services which are planned
according to the customer requirement. These packages are prepared because of the focus on the
customer perceptions who wanted to get the more facilitates with minimal payments. So
whenever the project will get released among the users it will maximise the profit of the firm. As
people can access the product in an easy way.

in favour but 10 percent are against it. The 10 percent favours are voted because they are
following the social media to know get the information about the new products releases.

Findings – It can be evaluate from the above graph that EE Limited adopted the social
media to increase the presence across the social media platforms that is supported for by 22
percent people out of 30 respondents. On the other hand, only 8 percent people are supported to
enhance the market area through social media websites.
Hence, from the above findings it can be identify that social media is most essential tool
that can give a growth to the organization and improve its functions and activities.
Recommendation
EE Limited is a telecom company and that's why it needs to reach towards its users in
order to increase the sales of the company. Therefore, it can adopt the social media technology
because mobile technology enhanced the reach towards targetted customers. A business
organization can increase the functionality and operations to attain the goals and objectives.
 Social media technology improves the visibility of the company among the target users.
So that, it can increase its users and provide them specific telecommunication packages
which are required by them.
 It enhances customer engagement in the company's products and services through
providing them sufficient content. This content can hold them on the page and covert
them as a buyer of products and services.
 The targeted customer can reach towards the webpage through a clear strategy that can
increase the sales the products. This can be done through the online campaign on which

the employees can take a close watch on the analytics that can be helpful to develop
targetting strategies.
 Hence, it can be recommended from this report is that the EE Limited should adopt social
media technology to encourage its sales. They should appoint a person who have the
knowledge of the field. They can also provide training to their employees to watch on the
traffic that can improves the performance of the organisation.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that it is essential for the firm to develop new
technology for the business. But it takes time to implement the project and it needs to manage the
activities in an effective way. The project should have an aim and objectives that has to be attain
by the firm in order to earn profitability. As it needs to focus on the project management plan
that includes the cost, scope, time, resources, quality, risk and communication which helps to
manage the project in an effective way. There is also a need to conduct a research that gathers
the fresh data through surveys to identify the requirements of the customers and employees so
that a fruitful result can be gain.
