INTRODUCTION
There is more significance of digital technology in organisation as it supports businesses
whether medium, large or small to accomplish long term growth within predetermined time. It
also creates positive effect on the personality and skills of staff members whose working in the
firm. Digital technology provides a better chance to the enterprise to enlarge its business
operation and functions at large scale. It also help them to enhance their service and product
quality as per the needs of targeted audience. In this project given business is “Continental
Consulting Limited” it is a research and business consultancy firm which was established by
Mario Bindas as CEO. This assignment includes the objectives and aims of project for
Continental Consulting Limited beside with the project management plan. It includes different
aspects such as scope, time, cost, communication etc. Gantt chart and Breakdown structure to
compete project stage are also determined under this study. All other parts also has been
analysed under this project with the relation of such company (Crane and Matten, 2016).
TASK 1
P1. Aim and objectives of research
In the today world, it has become essential for the company in order to plan the digital
technology so that they can create a positive image in the mind of the customers. There are
different parts of digital technology such as social media marketing, E-Commerce, mobile
application etc. all these are play vital role for the development and success of organisation at
different level. Beside this Continental Consulting Limited apply social media tool which is
essential for them to attract various number of customers easily. In order to provide information
related to business services, company follow social media technology. This tool is useful and
significant for the company to establish their business operations at various place.
It is important for small business to emphasis on adopting social media tool as a part of
digitalisation. It help them to improve their efficiency and productivity level as well as gain
competitive advantages within shorter time period. Service of the company include detail
evaluation of existing agency configuration, agency compensation consulting, custom searches,
for both small and large organisations. In order to give information about these services
Continental Consulting Limited apply social media technique which help them to maintain
strong relationship with clients for long duration (Garrison and et. al., 2010).

organisation to create a project management plan in order to managing all the activities of the
firm in appropriate manner. An project management plan is effective in assisting a project by
looking for coherent actualities and discoveries which are appropriate for business activities.
This determines an action that is essential to prepare, coordinate, integrate and define the
effective activities of the planning. The major obligation of the project manager is to create an
effective project management plan in which all the major elements like cost, time, risk etc. are
involved, as to effectively completion of the project activities (Geraldi and Lechter, 2012).
Following are the some major components which are necessarily required to prepare project
management plan:
Scope: This is the primary aspect for each business organization, and it plays vast role in
effectively completion of a work in effective manner. Each small as well as large business

Continental Consulting Limited is to analyses the situation of hazardous, like lack of knowledge,
resources, employees support, inadequate amount of capital and funds etc. which are arises
through the implementation of digital technologies (Lai and Ong, 2010).
Communication: This is also an another essential aspect which plays effective role in
establishing coordination and collaboration within the employees. Communication is required
within the firm as to properly managing the operations through the coordination of employees.

value in completion of the desired objectives within the desired period of time.

P4) Application of quantitative and qualitative tools for data collection.
In order to conduct a research successfully it is very essential to collect data which is
relevant and can be further processed to covert it into useful information. There are two methods
which are used in collecting data which are as follows:
Qualitative method:- Qualitative method is also known as exploratory research and is
basically used to gain understanding of opinion and underlying reasons. This method includes
collection of data which is in descriptive form and are collected through observation, which is
particularly useful for exploring why and how particular event happens. It presents data generally
in words or language but also sometime uses pictures, graphs or observations. Various methods
used for collecting qualitative data are group discussion, personal interview and observation
(Marston and et. al., 2010).
Quantitative method:- Quantitative methods is a method used for quantifying the
problem through collection of numerical data which can be transformed into statistics. So,
qualitative data is in measurable form and usually expressed in length, amount, size , price,
duration etc. and use this data to generate facts and uncover pattern in research. Quantitative
methods includes various methods such as paper survey, online survey, face-to-face interviews,
website interceptors and systematic observation to collect data.

It is very important for management to analyse the collected information in order to make
effective use of data in decision making process and it is also helpful in expansion of business in
an appropriate manner. There are number of tools and techniques which can be used in research
for analysing data which is as follows:ď‚· Research design:- It refers to the overall strategy chosen by researcher to integrate
different components of study in a logical way for determine its impact. Research designs
are of three types such as exploratory, experimental and descriptive. According to the
above case, descriptive is the best suitable research design and the conclusion can be
achieve in effective manner (Ryan and Campbell, 2012).ď‚· Data collection:- Data collection refers to the process of collecting and measuring
information from number of sources in order to get complete and accurate picture of an
area of interest. These are of two types i.e. primary and secondary method. Primary data
includes use of questionnaire which help in collecting fresh and appropriate data from the
respondent, on the other hand secondary data is collected from books, journals.ď‚· Data analysis:- Data analysis refers to the process of examining, transforming and
modelling the data for transforming it into useful information for supporting decision
making. This process of data analysis is done using thematic analysis. Under this case
number of themes will be used which help in carrying out research in most effective
manner.ď‚· Limitation:- There are many difficulties which are faced while carrying out research
among which major limitations are lack of money and time. The topic is very broad and
the time given for research is very less, hence only major factors considered while

P7: Value of undertaking research to meet objectives
A researcher is subject to encounter a lot of difficulties and problems while conducting a
research. To effectively handling and managing such issues a firm is required to be proactive to
plan out certain strategies and course of actions. During my research I also encountered several
barriers related to time and cost. Because of limited time, I was not able to survey maximum
respondents that made it difficult for me to find out the actual needs and preferences of
consumers. In during the research I selected 30 respondents that are quiet small that made it
difficult to draw out any conclusions. Also, the budget allotted was not sufficient to conduct a
extensive research that adversely impacted the content of research. Besides this, I adopted
various tools and techniques for the purpose of collecting relevant information about different
important topics. Further, I put critical efforts in optimum utilizing limited resources in best
possible way for maximum outcomes.

important to conduct research about the market trends through using primary and secondary
method. It enables management to decide whether to implement digital technology in its business

advantages to company due to which the chances of sustaining in competitive market for longer
period of time. The management also required to set time frames to complete future project
activities so as to bring motivation among employees to work harder and completed project in an
